Griffin makes this case very close to the
Apple and the Incase -- but cheaper.

Actually, with the slots for business cards
or otherwise and strap closure this one
looks the best of all three.

I don't know if you can compare the Apple and the Incase with the Griffin. The Griffin is a straight folio case that appears to offer no positioning for landscape or typing.

I'm sure there will be interest in these types of cases, but there will also be better options.

Happy Owl Studio will be offering 3 straight up folio cases http://www.happyowlstudio.com/.

Also, MEDGE, who makes popular cases for e-readers has some folio type cases coming out http://www.medgestore.com/products/ipad/.

If you want a straight up folio case with no alternate positioning then the Griffin may be a good buy, but there will be plenty of more quality options around the corner (IMO). However, none of these cases should be compared to the multiple position cases like the Apple case, Incase convertible, quirky, Macally BookStand, etc.

The Macally BookStand to me seems like the nicest looking multiple position case:

I just wish I could see it in person to see exactly how thick it is, and how well it holds the ipad when you position it. Anyone have one of these yet?

I also don't like these case manufacturers charging close to $50 for a case. I think $20-30 range would be a better price point.

I had a bookstand order in, but cancelled it. I main reasons for cancelling it is because I saw that the Europe store had black, and other sites (i.e, MacMall and Provantage) were selling it for cheaper ($33-$38). I still think its a nice case, but the cheaper prices, plus Macally's expensive shipping ($8) made me think again.

After using the apple case all day I absolutely love it. It is very sleek, snug fit, and the material feels great to the touch. Not sure why some complain of shaper edges, no sharp edges on mine (or possibly my hands aren't girly :p)

So I just used my apple case for one day. And I can honestly say it's IMO the best case. , it looks really sleek and nice, also the stand features are amazingly useful. I returned my incase sleeve today

I recently bought the Incase Convertible Book Jacket & the Apple Case and I have to say that Incase wins IMO. They both are great cases and it really comes down to personal opinion on which is better. The two negatives about the Incase is that it's more expensive & bulkier than the Apple case. The Incase just leaves me feeling that my iPad will be protected and the bonus is the different viewing angles. I've got videos of both case on my YouTube Channel if you want an up close look at both of them.

Hey ram8727, I did see your reviews on both the cases. Very nice and glad you did it especially since there are so few comparisons online right now. I did pick up the incase one, but that is mainly cause it is the only one I could get as the Apple case has been out of stock at all of the apple stores near me.

While I like the Incase one, I am having some problems with it that might make me have to return it. They are the same issues that all the other people have complained about. (iPad slipping out slightly so that the ports don't line up and not being able to use the last position without the thing slipping down out of the slot after a few seconds). I keep hoping that it will stretch out more so that maybe the thing would at least not slip out and have the ports get un-aligned, but so far that has not happened.

I signed up, participated in evaluations, but never got a credit. Anyone have a credit they want to share or know how i can get one of my own? :)

Hi there,

Just a quick question.

I've heard a couple of people saying that the iPad is hard to get out of the Apple Case. This would be quite a big setback because I'm planning to do work on my iPad at school and I need to be able to get my equipment out quickly.

Do other people with the Apple Case have the same problem?

My GF went to the Apple Store today to pick up a case for our iPad. I told her to make sure she got the Apple case.

She came back with an "Incase Protective Cover for iPad" and says the people at the Apple Store said there is no Apple branded case and that this is in fact the "official Apple iPad case".

After looking around, obviously they were completely full of ****.

I really hate having my (our) time wasted
