Worth remembering, if you have different iTunes accounts for different countries, that you have to be logged into the one you download Infuse from for it to auto-update. eg. I bought it in the UK store, but use it with my US account and it won't update until I switch back, despite working just fine otherwise.

Very good app but it lacks to play subtitles without downloading, I go with plex.
Infuse is able to use local subtitles as long as they have the same name as the video file.

EG

Inception-2010.mkv and Inception-2010.srt

If you are using a Plex server, this feature will become available in the upcoming 5.7 update which will include an all-new native Plex integration.

Hey guys. I just paid my second annual subscription (after 12 months of use). Just letting you know I use this app every day and it's about the best $10 I spend all year. Thanks.

Awesome! So glad to hear you're enjoying it, and thanks for the support! :)

I'm having an issue that has cropped up in the past few weeks. Infuse is forgetting my network share when I launch it.
I have a folder called MyMovies on my Windows 10 PC and it is a saved favorite in Infuse.
When I launch Infuse, the favorite is there but when I select it I get an error message.
I have to physically delete the favorite shortcut and then add it again in Infuse.
It all works perfect until I run Infuse again.
I seem to remember this happening before but was fixed.
Am I the only one with this issue?

I'm not sure we've seen anything like this, but the upcoming 5.6.9 version will include an all-new SMB implementation which will provide much faster streaming and much improved support for Windows 10.
In progress... ;)

To answer your ticket: I can't see how things changed in ATV 4 because I sold the device. I only have the IPP 10.5 now. Testing in the last iOS (free) version I can see that my PC is being recognized now, right away. So I don't have to insert manually the login and password from Windows 10.

You remember I told months ago about a possible bug caused by Windows 10 after the latter had the FALL CREATORS UPDATE, that only affected Infuse in some way. This bug only started after this update, and the behavior was to make my PC hidden to Infuse, so I would have to manually insert my credentials.

Since this has been fixed in iOS it's safe to assume the Apple TV is OK, too. *

* Both iOS/ATV had the same update:

- Much improved SMB streaming performance

Even before this recent update I managed to make it work in ATV and iOS. The only difference was that my PC wasn't being displayed automatically.

Yes, improved SMB streaming (along with SMB3 support) is available in 5.6.9 for both iOS and Apple TV. This is a brand-new SMB implementation, built from the ground up with much-improved compatibility and performance for most devices, including Windows 10.

If streaming from a Synology NAS, is SMB streaming now as fast or faster than NFS?
They are now pretty much on par, though SMB is supported on a much wider array of devices. Performance can also vary based on the device you are streaming from (some are reporting slow speeds with NFS on macOS, while SMB is faster).

You can experiment with SMB3 by setting up a second share on your device to see how it works before removing the NFS based share.

Any plans to add Random or Shuffle mode for all videos in a folder? Have requested this a few times, but no luck so far. Hopefully it is planned?
