Loop and shuffle are available when you are browsing via Library categories in Infuse.
Not for me. I have a Plex share connected via Library mode. I used to be able to long-press Play on a TV show folder to bring up the Shuffle menu, but not anymore.

If you are browsing the media server directly (IE not using the Infuse library categories) this is considered direct as well. Loop and shuffle are not currently available here, but will be added in an upcoming release.

But it used to be possible - why did you remove it? It was a pretty critical feature for watching kids shows :-D

Infuse 7.7.5 now available! 👏

New sort options for Plex, added toggle for Smart Folders, improvements for collections, plus other fixes and improvements. https://firecore.com/releases

Note: ‘Smart Folders’ is a feature in Infuse that allow a folder to be ‘flattened’ and displayed as a playable item instead of a regular folder. This can be useful if movie titles are organized into individual folders with video, artwork, metadata, and subtitles files inside. Learn more

We’re very happy to announce the release of Infuse 7.8!

Play version for Emby and Jellyfin

Emby and Jellyfin users now have the ability to choose a specific version when beginning playback. This allows for optimized playback based on device and network conditions, if multiple versions of a video are present on the server.

Automatic version selection

Along with the ability to choose a version to play, there are new options which allow the best version to be selected, automatically. This can be handled by Infuse based on your device type (EG play a 4K version on Apple TV 4K, 1080p on Apple TV HD, etc...) or you can set manual preferences to always choose the highest or lowest quality video. This new setting applies to videos with multiple versions streamed from Emby, Jellyfin, and Plex servers.

Other minor improvements and fixes

A handful of other improvements are also included so be sure to check out the full list of what’s new in 7.8 and other recent updates.

Infuse 8 coming this fall! 🎉

Work on the next major release is underway and Infuse 8 will be released this fall. Infuse 8 will feature many exciting changes, including: a native app for Apple Vision Pro, a new modular home screen designed for speed, refreshed app designs on all platforms, optimizations for the latest Apple software/devices, and many other under-the-hood improvements to ensure Infuse continues to provide the absolute best possible playback experience for all your videos.

Infuse 8 (including the new app for Apple Vision Pro) will be a free automatic upgrade for all current Infuse 7 users. A single Infuse Pro subscription will be usable across all your devices (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, Vision Pro) and can be shared via Family Sharing.

Note: If you’re still using an older legacy version of Infuse you can get a free year of Infuse Pro (and lock in the lowest possible price) when upgrading to Infuse 7.

I honestly look forward to this more than getting my new iPhone and watch. I use Infuse every day ... best video playing app ever and probably the only reason I actually prefer the AppleTV. Its literally the AppleTV's killer app.

I am interested to know what does it do that something like Plex or Jellyfin? other than probably a more polished GUI

@firecore I have certain movies in different languages like Lion King, would this new update recognize the difference?
Infuse can fetch metadata from TMDB in many different languages. Typically, people want to have their videos shown in their own native language, but if there are certain titles you want to have a appear with a different language you can use the Edit Metadata option on a specific title and select an alternate language from the drop down list shown there.

If you are just talking about video with audio and subtitle tracks in different languages, you can switch between these through the Settings menu while a video is playing.
