The battery issue could be hardware issue or the battery percent isn't calibrated. I have not experienced that on any of my 3 devices running iOS 10 since beta starting in July. Started on beta 4.
And on my iPad Air 2, I haven't experienced it either... Maybe hardware issue is indeed whats going on here.

Is it just me or has anyone's iPhone 7 Plus springboard been crashing 2-3 times a day? Could it be iOS 10? Never happened to me on my iPhone 6s.

Yes this is happening to me about 10-20 times a day. Seemingly, when I'm using the phone a lot.
I am on a 6 plus though. Perhaps a full reset of the phone and starting fresh might help.

Have not had one springboard crash on my 7Plus since getting it. I set it up as new.

You mean when you are using headphones or speakerphone? What do you recall it being before?
no headphones or anything, just built in speakerphone.
before, i would call someone on speaker and the screen would shut off after a little while to conserve battery. when i wake the phone up, the screen before would still show the phone interface, even though it is locked. This lets me end the call without first having to unlock the phone.

now, it just shows my locked phone screen, with no way to quickly end the call or do other call operations, unless I unlock the phone, quickly tap the green bar on my phone screen to switch to the phone app.

For me, with iOS , I recall that after the screen would go to sleep and I would wake it up I wouldn't see the call/phone interface and would still have to unlock the phone first. That said, having just played around with it some more in iOS 10, when you wake the screen up and it's locked you should see your call information at the top (different from the green bar when you unlock the phone as this is on the lock screen), if you tap on that call information at the top you will be taken to the call/phone interface without needing to unlock the phone or do anything else.

My battery was on 7%. When i pluged my iPhone 6 battery indicator immediately showed 18%. WTF?!
May be the new "instant charge" feature. Sorta like the "instant data transfer" feature Jimmy Kimmel told folks about with iP7 :)

You need to recalibrate the battery: deplete the battery until there is no juice then let the phone to charge till 100%. This should fix it.
I would add to go past 100% maybe 20 to 30 mins to make sure fully charged.

I have an interesting bug in iOS 10... I don't have a Siri button so I can't turn Siri off. Any thoughts on how to fix this?
If reboot doesnt solve it I would say a "settings>general>reset>reset all settings" would be the next step.

No new beta today? :eek::D
Just play with 10.0.1, its pretty much like a beta from reading this thread :)

Do you actually have Siri (as in you can use it)? Have you tried restarting the device? Could Siri perhaps be disabled in restrictions?

I ran into a bug today possibly involving digital touch messages. I found that I couldn't see more than a few days back in a text thread (but oddly, all attachments were still visible via the details button). I contacted Apple and was told to restore from back up. The back up was fine. I could scroll back more than a week without an issue. My wife then started texting me again digital touch messages and the same problem happened again. Contacted support and was sent to a senior engineer. Engineering is looking at iMessage right now. I'm not alone in seeing this problem.

On 10.0.1 with iPhone 6S Plus.

My Camera Roll has completely disappeared, and has now been replaced with "All Photos" which also includes all photos I've transferred over from my computer. They're completely out of chronological order, pictures I've taken a year ago are very recent, and pictures I've taken within the last week are behind those.

Also, interestingly enough I found over 3,000 photos in the "recently deleted" folder, which I didn't do.

Should I restore?

They really need to issue a new beta or update. My iPhone 7+ springboard crashes 2-3 times a day randomly & I lose service on & off, I have Verizon. Never had these issues with my 6s.

Did you restore from a backup or as new? Additionally, you are running iOS 10.0.1, right? iPhone 7 shipped with 10.0.

I've had my Plus since launch day and have not experienced a single springboard crash.

Yes I restored from a backup on iOS 10.0.1. I did a soft reset on my 7+ since last night & no problems so far. Knock on wood.

Really hoping for 10.1 beta 1...

Probably won't happen until the bokeh feature for iPhone 7 Plus is more complete internally. I said it yesterday, but I think 10.1 will be a later release than 9.1 and 8.1. Probably closer to November/December.

Yup, nothing happens when headphones are plugged in, the screen doesn't even wake up, like it used to.

As fast and fluid as the 7 is, it does have many little quirks which weren't there on my 6S Plus on 10.0.1.

I'm ready for a dang beta. Let's break these new phones in!
