The sound quality did in fact change. I was listening to podcasts on the way home today and it sounded a bit "tinny" like the audio bands were more narrow. It was especially noticeable with just vocals. I also find the notification/system volume is a bit lower than it was before the update.

I had a 30 minute commute home today and had no disconnects. Still too early to tell if the BT issues are fixed though. Although, I'd take them over reduced audio quality.
Bluetooth issues related to random disconnects still happening. Mainly happens after a phone call when music starts back up. It'll play and then stop disconnect and randomly reconnect a minute later. (Already provided feedback).

  • Wi-Fi connection randomly drops has been fixed. (now there's significant change in iOS 10.2 and 10.2.1 regarding this issue). Update: issue is not fully fixed and now its there again. In its worst form ever.

Release Notes: (not yet attached)

I've had tons of wifi random drops since 10.2 BETA. At first I thought it was the beta then my FIOS G1100 router not playing nice with my apple products.

I ended up disabling IGMP (after 3 weeks going thru ISP tech support to try to figure out what was causing it) and all of a sudden zero issues. Not sure if the two are entirely related but connections on both 2.4 and 5 have been perfect.

Has this beta fixed the Shutdown Bug yet please? I've literally just connected the charger after a shutdown at 42% !!!

My worst yet in terms of remaining battery when it powers down.

You need to get your battery replaced. It's defective. It seems not only 6s's are affected of faulty batteries.

Anyone facing issues downloading songs from iCloud Music Library? My Music app refuses to download the songs I purchased with another iTunes account (with some exceptions, strangely), giving the spinning circle then immediately stopping. This is definitely new, as I've been able to download them before.

Anyone notice a bug when they are in the middle of text messaging and the phone rings? Half the screen shows the text message reply bubble and the keyboard while the top half of the screen shows the caller ID screen and there's no way for you to answer the phone or get rid of the messaging screen to answer.

You could choose to download them using iTunes and sync to your device .
This is what I am doing for some songs purchased from another account.

I'm using iCloud Music Library, which makes it impossible for that to happen. I've been on support chats and calls continuously since yesterday and none of the support representatives have solved my problem (one of them in fact screwed something up).
And just today I also realized some of the songs aren't even purchases from another account, they're from the same account.

Are you also an Apple Music subscriber?

Apple surely screws something up in backend. Purchase is still a better option in a long run, especially when they remove DRM on purchased music.

Yeah I previously purchased all my music, but I purchased so much it was getting expensive :p

And I just talked to someone who's actually smart, they said there's nothing wrong on their backend and it might be the beta.

Weird part is the songs download just fine on iTunes.

Continuing making tests because of the WiFi problems that I have, specialy slow performance.
After 15 continous tests with SpeedTest app, I ended to the conclusion about this:
if bluetooth is off, all, and I repeat, all of these tests reported around 95mbps without degradation. If bluetooth is on and not necessaraly connect to any device, all other 15 continous tests will report speeds around 5mbps and 95mbps, and all of theme will stay under 50mbps. My ISP maximum netword speed is 100mbps.

So this is something to do with bluetooth on, I assure you, so bluetooth is a mess. With my old 6s this never happend but with I never had iOS 10.2 on in, so I don't know if this has something to do with iOS 10.2.

I had it happening to my ip6s+ prior to this beta. I havent that problem yet with this beta. But... man that battery life. Worst in ages I could say. Looking forward for the next beta.

I was wondering if it was just me.. My battery life is Horrendous! yesterday.. My iPhone 7+ went thru the phone battery as well as a juice pack that would charge it to 100% by 4PM.. I didn't leave the house till 10... Meanwhile my gf iPhone 6s+ was at 83% at that time.. I did use mines more but not 2 charging cycles more

Same thing I was getting.

I had 2 hours of usage and I was at like 75%. It has never been like that for me. Usually I'm on 2 hours of usage with 85%-88% left.

Thank you for the replies.

I've read accounts where owners have had their battery replaced and the battery shutoff bug has reoccurred unfortunately.

It's encouraging to hear that you've not experienced the issue on 10.2.1 Beta 2 and is in line with a few reports I'd read elsewhere.

Let's hope they've finally gotten to the bottom of this widespread problem.

Sure it actually installed or maybe just downloaded? What is the current build showing on that device?

Anyone else have an issue where 'recently deleted apps' is showing in battery usage over the last 24 hours but you haven't deleted an app?
