Noticed and reported a bug with the new TV app; non-purchased TV shows show in my TV Shows section, but tapping them simply does nothing. I have multiple episodes of a series synced to both my iPad Pro and iPhone, both on the latest beta, and while I see them listed, I can't actually do anything with them, whereas my purchased series' open up when tapped and let me download of stream episodes.

Has anyone who's missing the TV app tried reinstalling through iTunes? I have it on my iPad but it's no where to be found on my 7+ o_O

I know it's too early for a full sense of how battery life is holding up on this build, but has anyone noticed any glaring issues so far? Planning to install the latest public beta this evening unless there is noticeable battery drain.

Sorry if this has already been posted. Anyone having trouble with text messages coming in while on the phone? When I'm on a call and a text message comes in, I hear the sound, but the message doesn't show on the lock screen until I hang up the call.

Yeah it's been this way since 10.0. Seems like it should be a bug but I'm starting to think Apple considers it to be a "feature" for some strange reason. It's definitely annoying.

I've noticed that, when you swipe to the right on the homescreen, the activity widget and the battery widget refresh. They do this in a very ugly way. On the battery widget it sometimes redraws the icons only half and you see them pop in from the left.

It might be due to the reindexing of the spotlight but mine has been a tiny bit less good but also it might be due to more onscreen time checking this and that.
Anyhow it's a very solid beta (like all iOS 10 actually) and can easily be used as a daily driver IMO. Just don't send the new emojis to people not yet updated. They'll get a [?] instead.

I cannot seem to install the 10.2 PBs. Both B1 and B2 are giving me errors after it bouncing around the 'verifying update' prompt. Anyone have any ideas for what to do?

Odd, I guess Videos will become TV when 10.2 hits GM, as this splash screen suggests.

It seems really odd to put movies into an app called TV. That's not where I, or likely anyone else would think to look. Seems like an incoherent design decision. If they want to separate into two apps, one for TV and one for Movies, then fine. Or, better yet, why not just call the combined app "Videos" and let it handle both TV and movies like it currently does.

It's been like that since the beginning of iOS 10 basically. Notifications come in but don't show up. Basically they are there in Notification Center or other places, but don't come over the call itself (aside from the notification sound/vibration).

6s here.
At 80% with about 2 hrs of screen on time. Will find out by the end of the day if battery has improved (i got about 10-11 percent per hr of screen on on beta 1)

Just updated to 10.2 beta 2 and the app close animation is exactly the same. No differences that I can see.

Edit: I'm slightly annoyed at the giant repeat and shuffle buttons now. Why couldn't they be just icons? They've always been just icons. They're pretty self-explanatory.

It looks so tacky now. Why are the "..." not labeled? Why isn't the output device labeled?

Why keep some things as icons and then SPELL OUT OTHERS?

It makes no sense and it looks completely out of place. There was nothing wrong with the icons only.

What's next? Put "Flashlight" next to the flashlight icon?

Regarding the Shuffle and Repeat buttons, quite a few people didn't know where the buttons were. Now they've made them more prominent which is better.

I had a home video on my Videos app. It now has the wrong "artwork" in the new TV app and won't play in either TV or Videos. Has anyone seen this and/or a fix?

No tv app for me either. But there is a tv provider option in settings. I even tried setting the region to US but TV app still not there.

Im from the Philippines by the way.

Its because of the lack of a physical home button. I guarantee you its not something that can be fixed in 5 minutes. Its probably extremely complex. Its also not a top priority. It does not impact day to day usage. Its not aesthetically pleasing, but it does not hurt your usage.
It also goes away if you turn on "Reduce Motion". I kept seeing all these complaints about the "bug" and had no idea what they were talking about. I never knew because the animation is different when Reduce Motion is enabled.

They were huge before. They could've just pointed them out.

They're still hidden from view, so if Apple didn't point out that you can scroll the screen down, they still wouldn't know where they are.

I think they looked a lot better as just the icons.
