Then could you explain why I see this? if it is not a bug.

Plus, charging iPhone over MacBook is always much faster than charging through any PC USB port. I say "much" I mean like 30-50% less time taken to charge to full.
Actually only partially true. Some PC (ASUS specifically) have a fast charge port that pumps out like 1500mA verses the 500mA of typical USB ports.

Whoever added the choppy scrolling in the Cellular tab in settings to the Wiki under New Bugs, that's something that has been there since probably iOS 6 or 7 and will most likely always be that way.

Anyone having an issue where not all of your cookies are deleted? 2 or 3 cookies stick around even after deleting history and website data.
Or even after deleting them individually under Settings> Safari > Advanced > Website Data.

Do you happen to have iCloud syncing Safari data with your Mac or iPad? That's what was happening to me. My Mac's cookies were being synced to my iPhone. I turned that off and it fixed.

There's no "fast charge". You can connect your iPhone to any wattage/amp wall plug and it'll only draw a maximum of 1A.
As others have stated, that is entirely false. iPhones can receive 2.1A by using an iPad charger. Just because iPhones come with a 1A doesn't mean thats its max charge rate.

Exactly. Also why put all the beta 1,2,3,4 stuff in there? Even some that was resolved already. Makes the thread sorta pointless. We should just have an "all iOS bugs and fixes since the beginning" thread. @Spydar007 should clean that up. Since he started the thread I guess it would be acceptable.

BTW is anyone else other than whoever is posting in every beta thread about iCloud backups still not working having this issue? That was fixed in like beta 2 or 3. I have not had any issues since so wondering if others still are or if just the one person is, in which case probably shouldn't be listed.

I have wondered myself why the older beta fixes were posted in this and previous beta threads. I think just fixes and new or unfixed bugs should be posted only. Since in the last few builds very little has visibly changed, I think they wanted to have some content there. Just my 2 cents. I don't mean to be critical, but I guess I am, for all of us. I think it is mostly about optimization, now. And, finally, thanks to whom ever creates these IOS 10 beta threads, they are great!

Best performing iOS release to date. Performance and battery life on my 6S is superb.

Highly recommend a clean install of 10.3+.

Apparently no new bugs or fixes in this beta? Everything listed is previous stuff. Seems a final release is immanent.

But Apple limits the output from non-Apple or authenticated charging ports and devices to prevent overcurrent or overheating, I believe. Plus, apple lighting port in most devices except iPad Pro are USB2.0.

I'm confused. What are you seeing and what are you referring to?
Sorry for messed up quotes. What I see this post:
Wait. The zoom lighting trick doesn't work anymore? Hopefully that's just a bug. I use that daily.

Edit: Just noticed that was part of B4. Hopefully it's fixed and still works.
So I wonder apple does not wish zoom feature working in a way which users could further dim the screen.

I believe the reason why Apple doesn't fully advertise or supply fast charging adapter because fast charging generates more heat and degrades the battery life. If you use the supplied 500mA adapter, the module can draw up to 1000mA and still stays pretty cool while charging.

I've never noticed it before this beta. And I know I'd remember scrolling that bad. I do sometimes check my data usage in that menu.

Anyone noticed the new animation when switching from a language keyboard to emoji (and vice versa)? Subtle change but really neat.

Yeah been around forever. Strange all the other menus that look similar scroll smooth and fine just the cellular one does not. But not new for sure. I see where I reported it 12/2015 but that wasn't the first time it was there.

Not entirely true, I have an Anker battery and Anker car adapter that will charge my phone at higher than 1A.

Also, yes, iPhones use USB 2.0 over Lightning, and yes the USB 2.0 limit is 500mAh. But there are quick charge provisions in place with USB 2.0, which Apple and some PC manufacturers have implemented.

Not entirely true. Yes faster charging causes heat which speeds up degradation, but I have done some extensive testing over the last 3 years with using iPad and iPhone chargers and there is almost no heat difference between the two. As long as the phone remains unused during the charging time, there is almost not difference in temperature. When using the phone while charging with an iPad charger causes it to get a little warmer than with an iPhone charger, its not enough to permanently damage the battery.

The reason why I don't think they advertise it is because not all iPhones are capable of receiving the 2.1A or the 2100mAh charge rate. Seems to be only Plus size models and potentially the iPhone 7. iPhone 7 seems to charge slightly faster with an iPad charger over an iPhone charger, unlike the 6/6s and older.

I suspect there's also a cost factor. iPads have much larger batteries so to keep charging times reasonable (or in the case of the iPad Pro, almost reasonable) Apple includes the much larger chargers...they have no choice. However, with the iPhone, even the small included charger can charge the phone in a few hours.

In order to save on costs (and boost profits), they include the smaller, cheaper charger, since a few hours is reasonable for a full charge.

I don't know about phones below the iPhone 6s, but I know that my 6s (not the Plus) will draw 12 watts from my iPad Pro charger, as measured with a Kill-A-Watt meter, which is the max that the Pro charger can output.

I'm not talking about including the larger charger, I'm talking about making it well known that the iPad charger charges faster. Hell people would probably go out and buy one and Apple would make more money.

I mean the iPad Pro 12.9" comes with the 12W, but its well know that it can charge faster with the 29W MacBook brick.

I had an iPhone 6s, and only every used an iPad charger, but it never took more than 6W in from my year of usage. 6W is better than the standard 5W, but no where near 12W. The highest I have ever seen my iPhone 7 Plus take in is 9.5W, also shy of the 12W.
