I do a fresh restore on every new release. I have never had any issues with an iOS update or a new iOS.

So far, 10.3.3 seems to be running well. Battery seems on par with the prior builds. I expect it to slowly get better over the next few days as the phone finishes downloading pics, etc.

So far, so good. I can't tell any big difference with the new update. Classic Apple; it just works.

Battery for me on iPhone 7 10.3.3

@25% - typical use, several calls, no watching videos or games

Usage: 7h 31m
Standby: 29h 51m

Has only done a cycle or two since updating so might still be things going on

Updated to 10.3.3 on my 7+ and performance SEEMS the same. Doing a hard restart (power + volume down) takes longer and notifications disappear (on lock screen) after unlocking device... weird.

Battery drain is noticeably now. I follow the same daily routine, like playing music while getting ready for work, and I lose 10-20% more battery according to the indicator.

Repeat prompts for "Family" shared apps even though I no longer belong to that "Family" group. I mean constant, so constant that I had to turn off all at automatic updates/downloads… cool!

I have done a fresh install through iTunes after the initial upgrade, and then also did another reset from the device itself. Same results. I know there should be a "settle in" time frame, but 10.3.2 was not like this at all. If the 10.3.2 is still being signed by Apple, I'm definitely downgrading later today through iTunes.

It's probably just me but the first and last bits of your post seem contradictory.

If you spend some/any time trying to "restore" while updating the OS, then I don't think you can claim that the "OS just works". For that to be true, you should be able to do an OTA update and get to your regular usage without any real complaints, 9/10 times at least. :)

Performance on the AnTuTu benchmark for my SE went from 122000 to 123000, not a huge difference but overall definitely not slower than before.

Some animations do feel a bit smoother too.

6s runs perfect on 10.3.3 for the record. Not sure where @souko is coming from. But up to you if you prefer to stay on outdated software.
@sbailey4 ok, and you come from?

Pretty much i want to stay on "decent" battery life, i tried ios 10.0.2 when was released and was a mess (1% consumed each 2 minutes) and happily i could downgrade to ios 9.3.5.

I updated from 10.3.2 to 10.3.3 and the only two differences I noticed so far were that the battery drains a bit quicker and the wifi signal is weaker on my phone. I reset all settings twice, including network settings so hopefully that fixes the battery issue but the wifi signal is still weaker. Where I had great signal on 10.3.2 I'm now dropping wifi. It seems like almost every time I update things get worse instead of better. Makes me not even wanna update. Hopefully a backup-restore thru iTunes will help.
Which model are you using?

Is it possible my 6S to throttle more often on 10.3.3 than on 10.2? I see some lag and stutter in some apps, when the phone heats up a bit... wasn't so on 10.2. May be should have stayed on it....:(
you still can downgrade, Apple is still signing it, but imo ios 10.2 was a buggy mess.

I assume you mean what version? I ran all the betas so came directly from beta 6 to the release version. Even beta 1 was better than 10.3.2 IMO if performance and battery are the only metrics everyone cares about.

I think the upgrade of iOS on my SE has gone wrong. Battery life dropping overnight from 90% to 5%, HomeKit lights turning off and on because the phone thinks it's outside perhaps.. I need to do a fresh install I think.

I didn't read this whole thread so apologies if this is a repeat. Many severe battery drain issues (especially around an update) are an app or service not able to do something and repeatedly trying. For example, not able to authenticate to retrieve mail or something else. I also once experienced a battery dropping about 1% a minute and the phone "wouldn't charge". Sometimes a hard reboot will clear it, sometimes not, or sometimes "fix" it for awhile until the app again starts trying to do whatever it's trying to do. Other symptoms are a noticeably warm, slow phone due to excessive CPU usage.

If you can't look at the logs with xCode to see what the apps are doing, thoughtfully disable or delete anything that logs into a service until you find the culprit, including Apple's services.

Same ****. Nothing new from Apple. I cry the day I decided to buy an apple phone. I will be happy on the day that I return to android which from a functional point of view is 10 classes over ios

Please let us know if resetting all settings does help the battery issue. I'm not eager to try it, as it's a PITA to rebuild my settings (and I don't really understand how an update could cause a settings-related battery issue)... thx

Battery life seems fine but my phone still drops wifi frequently still even after resetting network settings, all settings and even erasing the phone and restoring. Reverted back to 10.3.2 but lost data if I stayed on it so went back to 10.3.3 and wifi stability seemed fine again until just now. Besides the wifi drops my phone is fine.

Thx for the info. Hope your Wifi gets better.

I haven't tried the reset settings One Weird Trick yet; battery seems about 10-20% behind what I'm used to (though after a week, I'm not so sure anymore what it "used to be"). Never had a battery issue w/iOS upgrade before.

My performance has been great. Seems the same as 10.3,10.3.1 and 10.3.2.

Today when I checked my storage about 6gb was freed up overnight.... I didn't delete anything. Weird. Maybe some caches were automatically cleared?! I do t know but I'll take it. I'm on an iPhone 7.

Do you still experience the WiFi drops? How they look like, I have similar problems- WiFi disconnects by itself for a second and reconnects again..

Yeah I still do. The signal will show wifi then shortly after switch to LTE then back to wifi. That also could be one culprit of worse battery life. Battery is still decent tho.

I restored my iPhone 7 fresh with this update and perfmance seems essentially equal maybe slightly smoother (could be placebo) battery life on the other hand has jumped back to what I expect from it. After 2 days of use I ended 50% vs before I was ending 25-30%
your battery lasts 2 days of use? How on earth do you use your iPhone 7? Clearly not as much as me.. lol

I'm about to plug in my 7+ and go to bed... I've had 4 hr., 25 min. usage time since I unplugged this morning. Battery at 38%. Is that "good"? I can't be sure anymore...

(Waze and Twitter are my top two apps for past 24 hrs. – coming in at 42% / 56min. onscreen, and 23% / 1.3hrs. onscreen, respectively.)

What is Waze? 42% after an hour onscreen is too much..

Waze like any other location app will really use your battery.
