Only major issue I can foresee is that iTunes backups won't work until iTunes is updated. I updated on 3 devices (5, 7 and iPad Air) had no problems.
I would think so too but I tried is a few times and it seems to work. Not tried actually restoring it but the backup runs and seems to complete.

Won't be able to restore back to 10.2.1 since 10.3 updated to the new APFS. Can't go back.
You know this for a fact or just speculation? Why wouldn't DFU restore work? That would be equivalent to formatting a disk as NTFS but could not go back to fat32 and load the OS if you wanted to.

what? like any other way to revert when its still being signed...restore as new then restore backup....like im doing now cause even steam app dont work anymore on it.
Are you saying you did go back? No issues doing so?

I like the new multitasking animation with the apps that seems to bump from bottom to the middle of the screen. Do you notice it? I will add to first page.
Much much much smoother.
[doublepost=1485316968][/doublepost]
hate this new update, the 3D Touch on the left side of the display to get muiltitasking up is broken
It sometimes registers the first press, but when you press even harder to move it to the main view, it doesn't work

Annoying!
Also, the multitasking thing is pretty buggy
3D multitask works better than ever for me. And multitasking animation is much improved over 10.2.

I could be wrong just going off an article on imore. http://m.imore.com/how-download-ios-10-developer-beta

Info at end of article indicates since file structure is changed to new system you wouldn't be able to roll back. Honestly hope I am wrong.
I think it should work, if I have time I might try it on one of my test devices.
" there's no downgrading once migrated to APFS!"

Looks like he's clarified.

Someone explain me, if I try to "shift+restore" with itunes to 10.2.1, it won t let me? I m stuck forever on 10.3 and beyond?? On a side note, there is no xcode on windows so if I encounter any problems and need to restore I won't be able to, right?

I believe you need to DFU restore. Its the only way to downgrade.

I am pretty sure that won't work anymore. But DFU restore should. No one has said for sure on that but I am confident that the shift/restore won't work due to the file system change. Not seeing a reason why a dfu would not work tho.

If you want to go back to a previous version of iOS, you must Erase Install. This can be accomplished with a DFU restore.

You cannot "downgrade" this version of iOS (10.3). 10.2.1 has a different and incompatible file system.

Now, you backed up your data, right?

Did it really? I rely on those weekly to purge Real Racing 3 data I no longer need. That could be problematic for me. I wonder if an update can bring it back, or if its permanently gone.
I would bet an update to the app would work at some point. But I can see why those would be broken now. APFS is different in how it works at the low level than the older HFS+.

A likely an iOS 10.3 bug...
Locating my Apple Watch with "Find my iPhone" works fine, but on my iPhone under Settings/"person's name" (new in iOS 10.3 and at the top)/"person's" Apple Watch, the status for, "Find My Watch" is set "off."
Same issue here.

Also, apple file system broke cleaning cache apps. Thanks obama...oh wait
Noticed this too, which app are you using? I use Memory Cleaner Pro, it opens etc but final message is always "no junk files". Having said that, with this beta I regained 700mb storage on my 16gb iphone6

If the cache cleaning apps now don't work, how do we clear the cache for Real Racing 3 which uses about 2gb?

I used battery doctor. I donwloaded huge apps to trigger the OS cleaning process and concluded that now I have potentially 2.5 gigs more every time I do this. Nice move from Apple

I agree a DFU restore should still allow you to go back to the Previous iOS version

Good addition. Unfortunately I need to leave China to use this app. Activating AUS SIM overseas doesn't help at all.

I tried one of such apps called Battery Doctor released by Kingsoft. It does have cleaned cache but only 1 GB. So I guess such app is not really effective for everyone.
Oh, by forcing photos app to re-download all photos in full resolution, I successfully recycle 1GB occupied by iOS photos app.
Talking about real racing, you cannot just uninstall app and reinstall to clean cache? Or the game data will be gone?

Also I guess, if we ever want to restore to old firmware, we may need the latest Mac OS X 10.12.3 beta for a newer version of iTunes, in order to restore.
This new system greatly reduces my desire to upgrade even though current iOS 10.2.1 has poor battery life.

I guess so. Don't upgrade if you Are using windows computer only.

I talked to Apple Support they said to it's not a bug its like that. The shutter lag is normal ^^ I still feel its like a bug.
It's either a software or hardware problem. You can tell the difference between the 6S plus and 7 plus as well as on the google pixel

Settings crashes when setting up Touch ID.

-add new fingerprint
-scan
-add passcode
-typing passcode the second time crashes settings.

Can anyone else reproduce this?

Trying that now, thanks! Currently waiting for it to reprovision, although it's not really doing anything at the moment.

I have never seen that option before. Is that something new?
On iPads, no in that it's been available for the last few iOS iterations (since iOS 8). It's not available on iPhones, at least US carriers - it's blocked in firmware. A call to your carrier's tech CS can get you to a person that can reprovision a cell phone line - I've needed to do it on occasion going back to the early 2000s when I was building bridges all over the PNW and roaming was more of an issue than it is today. I wish iPhones had reprovisioning available, but I'm surmising that it could be a bit abused or overused…

EDIT: If you do continue to have issues, ring up ATTWS, ask for a tech so you can get your device reprovisioned. They'll check your connection, ask you to power it down, push a carrier update and ask you to power the device up again. They'll be able to verify OTA that the carrier update was received, but do know that it might take a couple of attempts - you'll need some access to ATTWS's network, however… Cheers!

App Switcher using Command + Tab to switch apps on iPad Pro 12.9" Switches apps much faster than before. Makes the iPad feel much faster to use as a productivity device. Feels more like a Macbook task switcher now. Even faster than the Macbook one I'd say.

To be honest my iphone 6+ never felt better since ios 8. I think I love 10.3 beta. I hope apple keeps up this file system. Phone feels much more smoother and snappier.

Great first beta. I hope, Apple will keep that work up and performance will be get even better in following betas (faster animations, non-input blocking, stutter-free scrolling). But I also noticed that on my iPhone 6S the animations for open/close folders and open/close apps are slower than before. I hope, Apple fix this soon.
