my batter is worse for sure on 10.3
Contrary to that, mine's actually a lot better.
my batter is worse for sure on 10.3
One day my battery life was horrible. An app called Weather Line took up 80% of my battery even though it doesn't require your location and BAR was disabled. It's been fine ever since though. Battery slightly worse than 10.2.1 but fine in every day use.I think the people observing that the battery problem has been solved in 10.3 are experiencing placebo effect.
Has anyone actually measured the resolution of battery consumption problem on 10.3?
So every default app would display a placeholder with the app name? I kinda like that.Maybe those black screens when opening an app is an indicator for new splashscreens? Like the one in the new apple support app when you open/close it.
I also discover it quickly. And personally speaking I hate this change. But some of my games use this way to start the app (give a black screen before showing the actual start screen).I'm sure it's been discussed but am I the only one who is bothered with the black app opening (native Apple apps; when you first open it)? Maybe I just got used to it being white but it just looks so out of place.
It's not a "change" it's either a bug or a new placeholder for a new animation similar to that of the Apple Support app.I also discover it quickly. And personally speaking I hate this change. But some of my games use this way to start the app (give a black screen before showing the actual start screen).
Just downloaded an episode right now with no issues. Can someone try downloading a podcast episode and tell me if it works for them? I reverted to 10.2.1 because of this because I couldn't fix it; tried hard reset, reset network settings, cellular connection, wifi connection, no success.
First day I installed the beta on 16gb iphone6, (working perfectly btw), available capacity increased by nearly 1gb to 3.1gb. Now, almost a week later & without installing any new apps, I'm down to 2.6gb available.
I've done the large film iTunes "hack" to clear the cache, no perceptible change.
Anyone have any suggestions as to what's going on??
Thanks
Don't lose your hope !!!!Maybe this black splash screen is for dark mode?
Mine is slightly worse than 10.2.1 from what I can tell so far, but it is only beta 1my batter is worse for sure on 10.3
Just updated to 10.3
Using a complex wallpaper, all of my apps stutter when opening and closing now... on 10.2.1, it was just Safari and Mail that would do that.
However, if I use a simple gradient, it's smooth as silk.
Here's one of the wallpapers that makes it stutter

and here's a wallpaper that's fine:

I'm using an iPhone 7 Plus by the way and the display is set to "standard".
I know it sounds a bit weird that a wallpaper would make a difference but in my case it does make a difference. I would say only a handful of wallpapers make opening and closing apps smooth, but most of them will make them stutter (even the Apple wallpapers)
Also, it doesn't seem to stutter until you change the wallpaper from the default one, to a custom one. Once you put a custom wallpaper on, it starts stuttering (unless you get a good wallpaper like the sunset one I posted).

This is quite interesting, and would explain what I saw in this screenshot.
It reminds me of ZFS; I wonder if APFS's architecture took ideas from ZFS. I'm certainly not going to complain as ZFS is an amazing filesystem!
what device are you on? people on 2015-gen iPhones and later are reporting super smooth animations. I'm on a 7+ and there's a noticeable improvement over 10.2.1.iOS 10.3 b1 is an improvement, but lets not kid ourselves that it's 'buttery smooth'. iOS 6 was buttery smooth. iOS 10 is, like, crunchy peanut butter smooth. It's ok some of the time and then booooop u get a big ole nut. I mean it's better than the disaster iOS 9 was for sure but it's nowhere near buttery.
Hi guys,
Recently I found problem with playing movies or videos on my apple tv 3 which give me error on video playback and not showing photos in my photos app unless I turn on screen mirroring.
Before it I used to play movies with infuse app in background playback mode without any problem. But from iOS 10.2.1 public release and now on iOS 10.3 beta 1, I reached this problem.
I don't know this problem caused by iOS or not!
Any one knows anything about this guys?
