Minor niggle, but anyone else notice the app closing animation (return to home screen), will occasionally be really stuttery? Everything else is fine for me though.

Do we expect that the final/ GM/ next beta expected next week will be having more bug fixes than the beta 7?
In particular, is it expected that the bugs reported in March itself would get resolved in final version?

It's possible, but even if it does it would likely be a small set of fixes at best. Nothing is really expected one way or another as far as any particular fixes go or anything like that, as is generally the case.

I am particularly worried about two bugs- one i had reported in first week of february. The second reported on 01 March.

Anyone seeing lower than normal Bluetooth volume in this beta?

Have tested in Spotify, AM, and YouTube. I have to set volume much higher than before.

Still experiencing a sluggish animation when closing an app. Things like Messenger tend to be sluggish too, when scrolling. Other than that it seems fine. Anyone else experiencing this? I'm on an iPhone 6.

Nothing but SMOOOOOTHNESS™ here. Did you let the indexing process complete?

It may be a result of your device being several generations out of date.

Just a heads up for folks that saw someone's advice to reset all settings (not erase all content and settings) to try and fix random issues from stacking betas over time. Well, I did just that and have had more problems than ever on my iPhone 7. Bluetooth skipping issues, animation choppiness, stutter when scrolling, missing back button in Settings, among other random things. Will do a clean install once the GM is released, but wanted to let y'all know.

Spark mail app is draining my battery with background activity to the point that the phone gets very hot when I don't force close the app after reading emails.

I just restored to 10.2.1, and it's a lot more stable and less stutter-y than 10.3B7. A clean update to 10.3 should be better.

Just like to update to people about my problem of vanishing notifications:

1.) I had installed 10.2.1 as new using DFU mode (without backup restore), and then reproduced the issue. The problem remained.

2.) I installed 10.3 Beta 1 through 7 as new using DFU mode (without backup restore) in each case, and then again reproduced the issue for each installation. The problem remained in every installation.

3.) The vanishing of mail notifications from Notification Centre upon opening of Mail App (while no notifications or individual new or old mail is touched or opened), does not happen if the Clear button at the top right of the Notification Centre is not clicked and ALL notifications are not removed atleast once. Hence, the vanishing of notifications cannot be called an expected behaviour. This further implies that clicking the "Clear" Button at the top right of the Notification Centre is the cause of the flawed and erratic behaviour.

4.) Once the vanishing of notifications from Notification Centre has started, the vanishing act repeats even if "Reset All Settings" is done. The vanishing of mail notifications upon opening Mail App (without opening any new mail), stops only if the iPhone is reset as new using iTunes. But the behaviour again starts occurring if atleast once the Clear button is clicked and ALL notifications are removed.

5.) For argument sake, if we assume that opening and closing the Mail App (while no mail or notification is opened or even touched) is designed to clear all previous mail notifications from Notification Centre, then it is a completely flawed design. This prevents the user from viewing the new mail notifications even if he has not read the new mail, which it is not expected and desired.

6.) This current erratic behaviour is forcing the user not to click clear button for removing older notifications, as that would prevent subsequent newer notifications from appearing. This is also not desirable.

7.) The erratic behaviour of vanishing notifications starts occurring after every fresh installation of iOS (even if without backup restore) if after the fresh installation, the Clear button is clicked atleast once and ALL notifications are removed from the Notification Centre.

Well, simply to address that part of it, if you opened the Mail app you can see the new mail there and don't really need the notifications to see the new mail as seeing it in the Mail app gives essentially the same information as seeing the notifications.

I think, this may not be correct because there may be many folders and mail accounts in you Mail app. How would you know which folders or accounts are having newly received mails.
Moreover, theoretically if what you say is correct, then you dont need the notification centre at all for any App because you can always open that App any time.

I would also like to tell that the erratic behaviour does not occur if we remove ALL older notifications by using the 3D touch method of "CLEAR ALL NOTIFICATIONS" by deep pressing the cross. The error occurs only when we use the cross button at the top right to click it multiple times to clear all older notifications.

I request people to try reproducing the issue which I have elaborated, and confirm the behaviour.

Oh gods that's horrible!

My iPhone 5s was about that bad before I upgraded. I could've put a new battery in it but I wanted an upgrade anyway. Bigger...faster...better, you know.

Don't forget there are logs which give you battery drain information. Located in Settings/Privacy/Analytics/Analytics data. Look for entries starting LowBatteryLog and then a date. Usage times are only valid when the Capacity and Partial Charge values are 0 (meaning no power left and it wasn't charged during the drain). You should also *not* use low power mode when the charge remaining hits 20% or 10% or at any other point during the drain so that the uptimes reflect battery life in the phone's normal state. Alternatively, you could do it in entirely low power mode, but it becomes difficult or impossible to use the figures when a mix of modes are used.

Attached is an example log (posted earlier in one of he other beta threads). Immediately after a full drain (or just before when you hit 1%), taking screenshots of app usage helps to explain the story and app usage times coupled with their battery usage. You could if you wanted even figure out an "efficiency" rating for each app based on the previous 24 hours use. But this would only be an estimate and close if the drain took about 24 hours, otherwise it's not very relevant. Apple doesn't go so far as to show exact values or proportions of power usage by app in the log file.

Any updates on the camera? Portrait mode? All of these software updates get released and none of them improve the camera or have updates for it. I guess apple thinks the camera is fine the way it is. There are several competitors phones that have much better cameras and image quality and you'd think Apple would step up and take charge...but they don't. I would be all over the google pixel phone because of its camera, but I hat android and that steers me away. I don't understand apples slow development of their cameras. They should be using larger sensors now. For me, the camera is one of the most important parts of the iPhone. At least now I can shoot RAW, that helps, but only a little.
