Regarding the removal of first-party apps, I think it's just deleting the icon because if you delete FaceTime for example, you can still receive a FaceTime call...

Don't know if this has been mentioned.
- Button in down left corner to filter on unread in mail app
- read receipt can be enabled/disabled individually
- Old pull down to quick reply seems to be removed and replaced by the 3D Touch action
- Widget screen / today's view can only be reached by swiping left, pull down is only notifications.

Battery life is very good and very smooth performance for a beta 1 release.

Just picking up on your quick reply comment.

If you're on another app etc & iMessage comes down from top , can you still drag down & type reply & then send ? Please don't tell me Quick reply has gone.

Game Center may be gone but it's still in the Notifications settings with a weird icon and it's not called "Game Center" but it's called "Games", at least in my language.

Anyway, I'm pretty happy so far I can't see any stutter or lag, performance is very similar to what I had on iOS 9.3, this has to be the first time that I don't get lags when I install a new major release. I'm testing it on an iPhone SE by the way, I can't comment on performance for anything else than the A9 devices.

I was able to delete stock apps. On some it said, removing the data as well. However I did not see a change in total free space.

Ah crap, the iPhone 6 should be able to handle animations perfectly. But yes, on the iPhone SE it's buttery smooth and I'm usually extremely picky about lags and stutters, yet I can't find one on this first beta.

By the way, what's wrong with that raise to access the lock screen feature ? It's an amazing feature but why do I have to press the home button to unlock my device, it's ridiculous.

Read receipt for mails? In mail.app?
