I am hesitant to install beta 2 as I have an Apple Watch. I have no problem installing a beta on the iPhone, but the fact that the Apple Watch cannot be downgraded is not a risk I'm willing to take.

I also remember how the Apple Store treated me the last time I came into the store with a beta. They treated me with the same disdain as a jailbreaker. That is not acceptable.
Apple already claimed Apple Store staff could consider refusing providing services if user installed beta software on their devices, saying it was equivalent to jailbreak.

Not the case at all. I have had my iPhone 6 and 2015 13" rMBP both serviced... both were running public betas. I told them up front when I dropped my MBP off @ the store for service and they just said "ok" and continued right on processing the device for repair. It had the logic board replaced.

I think that position would be very hard to defend on a public beta. I know they put disclaimers in there but even so... As for watch though, there is no public beta and there is a very clear message that it may have to be returned to Apple so a user doing that has no real defense.

I initially installed iOS 10 PB1 on my 9.7 iPad Pro because its not a critical device for me. After running near perfectly for 24 hours, I took the plunge with my iPhone 6, which is a critical device for me. Been running on it for about 6 hours now, without issue. I don't even have the Facebook crash that everyone else seems to be experiencing. The only issues I've noticed on either device is some general lagginess when opening or closing an app, raise to wake doesn't always trigger, and some notifications have to be dismissed more than once. Other than that - its been safe for me. But I have a full backup of each device on my MBP that goes everywhere with me - so I could revert to 9.3.3 PB5 at any time if needed. As always, do a backup first!

I went in with a PB once, and the genius helping me told said "Cool, I have it on mine too!" I don't think they really care...
More like a hit or miss matter.
But Apple gives Apple Store staff a chance to test out beta iOS 10 this time so...

I am pretty sure that they would not be allowed to refuse warranty service because someone had a public beta installed. That does not change the warranty status of the device.

In fact, if you look on the Public Beta webpage, it specifically says in the FAQs that using the Public Beta software doesn't affect your warranty.

Strava crashed the first time I opened it(it has crashed in iOS 9.3.2 as well, so this may not be an iOS 10 thing), but since then everything has worked flawlessly on my iPhone 6+. I'm not even noticing any lag or stutter that some folks are experiencing.

DP1 was somewhat stable, although it suffered a horrible issue that locked the keyboard at times, and not even a reboot fixed it. Eventually it fixed itself, then after some combination of autocomplete and app, the problem resurfaced. I was very close to reverting back to 9.3.2, but then Beta 2 came, and it has been very stable. No issues with the keyboard and autocomplete whatsoever.

The only issue I'm having right now, is that is asking for my Apple ID every few hours. I don't know why is doing that. I just simply hit cancel.

Other than that, is a pretty stable beta. Way better than 9.

It doesn't affect the warrently, but it's been known that an Apple Store has and can refuse service until the device is on officially released software. To eliminate possiblity that the issue doesn't only apply to beta.

In that regard they treat it very similar to someone who comes in with a jailbroken device.

For a Beta then its fairly solid, but I still had to roll back to 9.3.2 for my phones.

My biggest issues:

Rotation:
4 devices and each one gets stuck in the wrong position. Sometimes I can force it back to normal by launching a fixed rotation app (like instagram) but often times it requires a reboot.

Apps:
Most 3rd party apps work without an update, but a few are unusable

Battery:
Most complaints are because its a fresh install and all that background stuff is killing the battery. A few days with it will even things out but its still not equal to a stable release

Empty Upgrade:
I really love the amount of data you can access from the lock screen and it's great to see 3D Touch actually implemented properly. But I'd say a large majority of the visible feature-list are fluff and hardly something worth switching early for.
So you had rotation issues with beta 2? I have a 6s with beta 2 and the rotation issues are few and far in between. Itwill stick and not rotate maybe once or twice a day, force quitting the app and opening it back works for me.

What do you think, should I enable iCloud Photo Library on my public beta device as my other devices are in iOS 9 and El Cap? Would love to test out those memories and people. What could it do to my 45 000 pic library?

I've got beta 2 on my iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Air 2. It's mostly stable but as others have mentioned the screen often sticks in a single orientation and requires a reboot. I don't think I've had any full crashes on Beta 2 where it reboots, I had a few of those on Beta 1.

Task switching is often slow and I have trouble getting it to stop where I need it as it's sometimes quite jerky, this is mostly an iPhone issue and my 6 Plus has been a bit iffy on performance since iOS 9 anyway.

Also, as I type this message in Safari on my iPad the auto-correction above the keyboard is stuck showing me optional usernames to login with instead of word suggestions and every time I use the backspace key the screen scrolls all the way to the bottom of the page. On some sites it does that just when I type anything! The keyboard often doesn't switch back to letters after switching to enter a number/symbol which can result in me typing gibberish (no change there then!)

Paused videos and music have a nasty habit of suddenly deciding to carry on playing in the background which is annoying.

Oh and alarms on my iPhone often don't cancel when I stop them on my Apple Watch which can be quite embarrassing in public!

Performance has been improved in B2 vs. B1....Overall, the OS operates on a usable level. Will be a fantastic release this fall for most people. If slightly/somewhat tech savvy and willing to put up with an "occasional" app crash, I'd move forward.

The only glitch that really annoys me almost enough to downgrade back to 9.3.3 is music skipping when raising the phone to wake. It skips my music every single time I pick up the phone.

Found some funny replies in this thread.
I update from DP1 to DP2. Much fewer crash so far, but some games become super laggy when playing, example is Freeblade.
Still glitches here and there, but not A huge deal breaker.
Most of my apps work fine, and no crash. Good.
