Welcome screen? Are we getting into the Samsung-esque tutorials now?

Ugh
There have been welcome screen type of things for a little while now, like for Spotlight and for the Proactive screens, for example.

• Devices may panic when using iPhone 6s Smart Battery Case.
• In Settings > Cellular Data, per-app settings may not persist after enabling/disabling.

and more serious one

• Some devices may experience performance issues, such as hangs and frame drops.

This does suck, can't complain about it though since its a beta.
I'm not sure if they mean that it wont work with older beta versions or with older IOS versions. I think they mean beta only, like public beta 2... will need to test.

I like the new emojis, to be honest. They haven't completely revamped them or changed their icon features, just modernised them a bit. They were getting on a bit in terms of stylistic age.

• Haptic feedback when iPhone is locked is gone. Sound appears to be different though.
• Keyboard clicks are like they were in beta 1 and 3. New sound for spacebar and backspace.
•Device seems quicker as well, probably placebo.
• Safari doesn't freak out when commenting on macrumors anymore thank God
• Purple space iOS 8 stock wallpaper is back too
• Emoji'a are different too. Gun is like a green water gun now or something lol.
They appear more rounded or cartoony I guess.

The date is in Notification Center
[doublepost=1470071299][/doublepost]And the page jumping bug is fixed
Handy but takes up too much space. Still waiting for the date in the status bar. There's plenty of room, at least on everything from the iPhone 6 to the iPad Pro.

Nope that's nothing to do with skeemorphic design.
It was more of a tongue-in-cheek type of comment a it's not skeumorphism per se of course, but things like shadows and 3D aspects to something have been and are generally placed into that type of category (at least around these parts) vs the flat iOS 7+ design.

When you click the Home button during the app opening animation, the app instantly closes, there is no delay at all. It is really fast.

Usually the OS is adding a small delay waiting for the double-click for app switcher, but in this beta they removed this delay for a bit after you launch an app, after a second or so the delay is added back.

EDIT: and the animations seem to be a bit shorter, which makes the phone feel faster

Not really on iPhone 6 when many other common status bar icons/elements often come into play. Not even sure about the Plus, but the iPads can make use of that without getting in the way of something else.

Wow, facetime not working between new and older ios devices, that is pretty bad, at least make it functional between ios 10 and 9.
