Glad to see your post before I try to do it because it would drive me crazy thinking it was only my iPhone.

If you add to widgets it will work then.

Sorry before i tried from phone app, just tested again 3d touch on phone app, 4 fav contact listed, can make call to all 4.

Have you added phone app as a widget? If so that's why it works.

I can't access my most recent notes from the notes widget while 3D pressing as well. However I can touch the quick shortcut to go home via the maps app.

Same deal as the phone app. Adding notes as a widget makes the 3D menu work.

Unless it somehow stopped working for you, the feature never went away. It's actually worked A LOT better since developer beta 1 through beta 5 than it ever has in iOS 9.

It has neve work for me. Would it be only for certain countries / languages? Just like proactive works.

I can do this without any problems. You might need to do a reset.

I am guessing you have the phone app added as a widget? If so that's why it works for you. Apparently several 3D menus are not working correctly unless they are added as a widget.

I have Night Shift set to "From Sunset to Sunrise" and it seems to be acting weird. This morning it didn't turn off automatically and if I turn the scheduled option off and turn it back on, and set it back to "From Sunset to Sunrise", it will turn Night Shift on even if it's way after sunrise.

Anyone noticing the cellular signal dots are more stable/consistent? Meaning they don't seem to fluctuate so much. I may have 3 dots pretty consistent then walk outside and it goes to 4. But not constantly changing all over the place from 2 to 3 to 4 to 2 all within a few moments.

Apple has finally switched the location of the handwriting and hide keyboard buttons in the Messages app on iPad! The hide keyboard button is back to the bottom right corner like in every other app. I was getting so frustrated accidentally opening the handwriting dialog when I meant to hide the keyboard in earlier betas!

I had automatic, turned it off, restarted phone, still a no go. The blue circle just keeps spinning.

Now if they could get rid of entering the passcode after restarting too. I never understood why a 4 digit code was supposed to be more secure than my fingerprint...

4 digit isn't necessary very secure, but it's also not recommended to use a 4 digit code. 6 digit codes are default, and you have to explicitly choose to use an insecure passcode.

That said, more security is better. It's possible (although difficult) to forge fingerprints, or to force a person (physically, or legally) to unlock a device with their fingerprint. This is why Apple forces a passcode unlock on reboot, after 48 hours (IIRC) with no unlock, and after a few incorrect fingerprint attempts.

-Animations are back to iOS 9 speed, hope they are still doing tests, I loved the super fast animations of Beta 4.
-The blur that appeared during the animation when launching/closing app is gone. Again, hope it will be back because it was kind of cool.
-Date is know in the widget page and I'm 100% sure it wasn't in Beta 4.
-Date fonts is also smaller in the widget page which is really cool.
-I like the new lock sound, the Beta 4 one sounded like the iOS 9 one but with a weird cut.

If you have an Alarm active, then edit and save it, it will become disabled.

It doesn't on my 6s Plus. I just tried it 4 times and the alarm stays active.

And as if somebody was looking down and said, "Now it will no longer work!" I tested it multiple times before answering you and I try to dismiss a message this morning and have the same issue as you.

Interesting observation. I wonder if it's by design or a bug ? Either way I don't use them so I don't care much except for 3D Touch calling my contacts.

Got a bug, in the phone app icon when you 3D touch, I am not able to select my favorite contacts. I tap on favorite contact but it does not do anything. Performed hard reset, no success, Anybody else?

Since last beta I can no longer search for contacts within the contract app itself - I get a null response thought it does show me a couple of contracts under a 'found in apps' section.

Now if I use the global spotlight search it will show all my contacts in the 'contacts' area.

Sent a bug report last beta but is this just me? Seems like a pretty major thing that you can't search for contacts from inside the 'contacts' app for it not to be being talked about.

For me, the animations are the same as beta 4. The way to find out would be to find a side-by-side comparison.

The removal of the blur, to me, makes it LOOK like apps are opening faster, I like it.

You can now see the date when on the Home screen and you swipe right, previously, you had to open Notification Center and then swipe to see the date. Nice improvement.

I like both of the Lock sounds, I just wish they gave us at least an option to enable the Haptic Feedback when locking the device, who knows, it may return if we complain!

Ha, no chance. We'll see it whenever the iPhone 7 event takes place. It'll be available for developers shortly after the event. The event is rumoured to be the week commencing the 5th of September. We could, and probably will, see a sixth beta in the meantime.

Now that search is in Notification center I feel they should just remove Spotlight as is (swipe down). Or at least implement it better. I hate trying to bring my NC down and it thinks I'm doing spotlight search instead.

Found an odd dock glitch on the iPhone 6S+, if you spin the phone a few times on the home screen the home screen rotates to follow and suddenly the dock acts all weird. The background of the dock reacts the the accelerometer input, the icons don't move but the background moves with the accelerometer.

Seeing a weird home screen glitch. When I turn my 6sPlus into landscape and back to portrait, the blurring effect remains stuck and does not change back to reflect the wallpaper correctly. Anybody else seeing this? View attachment 644181
