Nice to see that the OP is updating his post as well. Shouldn't have to read through the thread to find everything. If you don't have the time to maintain the thread don't start one

This is the most worthless beta thread I've ever seen. The beta 6 thread should have just been renamed to Beta 6 & 7
If we're gonna do that just start renaming every beta thread I guess. /s

New build, new thread. New builds fix bugs and can introduce new bugs, hence making new threads.

It's a wiki post, anyone can edit it. It's just that no real differences were found in this beta.

Technically they can do that (and have been doing that before) without releasing a beta update that matches that build.

It is not uncommon at all for the build that is loaded on the new devices to be a different build number than the public GM build. It is also not uncommon to have a .0.1 release same day or within days of the new devices.

Strange question. Is anyone else have it issues with weather showing in the widget screen, on an iPad? A few betas ago, they added weather back. After the update yesterday, it was gone for me. Even a wipe and restore didn't bring it back. Is this isolated to me, or a larger bug?

There's that too. I was saying more in the sense that Apple often already has a GM or GM-like build that can be further ahead than the latest beta, which they use to flash the new devices.

Not sure whether it's a bug or new feature, but my currently played music is now displayed in fullscreen instead of the split view on the right. Anyone else noticed it?
Can anyone else confirm this? I use music a lot on iPad and hopefully this is not happening to everyone.

You can change this behavior from settings music.

I have the icloud library off since I sync with my itunes library. But It does the same.

Yes, you need to delete the beta profile and you will get the final release. Otherwise you will continue receiving next betas 10.x

Thanks for the info ;)

Never mind. Strangely, it just turned on. After 24+hours.

I never understand this. IF there is a better/newer build they have then why on earth would they release an older one with potentially bugs that have already been fixed to a public release beta? Makes no since. So any bugs reported on now either have already been fixed OR will be released on the new devices. Now granted with this particular iOS build, they are batting 1000 as its certainly in good shape but that's not always the case. Only reason I could see it if there was some new feature that has not been disclosed yet then yeah makes total since in that case.

Any reason I do not have the "iCloud Music Library" option on my 5S? I have no choice but to see all of my music, when I'd rather just see the downloaded music

Update on the Contacts icons issue. Apparently if a contact only has one number (and no email or other items listed) "call" and "message" icons will be the title name of the number (ie Mobile, iPhone, Work, Main etc) I had a few that were not displaying correctly even though there were multiple #'s but turning off contacts in iCloud and removing from device then turning back on fixed most of them. Any single number contacts the message and call icons will be named whatever the phone number title is. Oh and if they are iPhone doesn't seem to be a problem. Bug or just the way it is? You decide.

As for Nightshift and time zone issue, is no one experiencing any issue there (sunset to sunrise)? Never had a problem with that until after this beta.

Indeed, it's the new features of the new phones that might be leaked (by people digging in code if not overtly) if GM went live before the event.

Are you an Apple Music subscriber? I'm. Maybe that's the reason

There's usually that special feature that is only available on the new iPhone which they don't want information out about.

I feel like apple is always quick to issue that x.0.1 update right after the phones launch, either same day or same week

I've been installing every Public beta except the previous, (couldn't be bothered to get near a wifi), but am now on wifi to install public beta 7. Is there any reason it should be 1.94GB? iPhone 6+ user here. The last one was 80MB or something IIRC, and I read it was small again as well in this thread?

Possibly since your skipped the last one. I believe they are incremental. Since you missed one, you have to download the whole thing.

That makes sense. Damn. I didn't realize that meant skipping one since they're incremental means you had to start all over. I should've checked somewhere. Thanks!

I love it. People like you claim to know things but it's obvious you don't.

Let me guess. Your mate's best mate's cousin's sister's mate works at Apple?

Guys, that's it. We should all listen to this person.

Nope. Zero guesses remaining. You lose. Zero lives remaining. Please return to go and do. It collect 200 pounds.

I feel like a lot of iOS10 new UI is severely lacking polishing and too quirky, it's hard to describe but for example trying to adjust brightness which is a common thing to adjust daily, many times the input is interpreted as trying to swipe control center to the playback panel.

There are a lot of places where input is misinterpreted, something that didn't happen prior to iOS10, control center is one example, but notifications is another, when trying to clear a notification, many times input is misinterpreted as trying to switch panels.

I feel like UI-quality has decreased significantly in general.
