Thankfully iOS 10 is doing things in its own way to demonstrate that all these patterns and guessing and all that are basically meaningless.

I bet you are secretly happy inside because you've been telling everyone to stop comparing it to the past! :D

Hey... Apple can come out with 20 betas for all I care. As long as the final build is 100% stable, I'll be happy, and I'm sure others will be too.

I definitely don't want to see a repeat of iOS 9.0

Still no "Group By App" notifications option... I really don't understand why they took that option out. I hate having to individually clear all my Instagram notifications.

Can't paste into the body of a new message in Mail, sometimes, unless I tap on the "Sent from my iPhone" or type something on that line. No paste menu comes up on a blank line.

I noticed this, too. I've reported it as a bug.
same here. also a double tap will allow you to paste.

I will gladly eat my words that I was wrong, but it appears Beta 8 won't download for people. So maybe it was a mistake and it was only suppose to go to internal testing? They did that last year with Beta 6. Only internal testing got it.

I am now 100% confident we will see a 10.0.1 on release day or the next day for the new iPhone. This is less than 2 weeks from the event and the GM has already been loaded on half the devices.
Maybe the Sept 30th date Barb Streisand referred to is for 10.0.1??

Apps load lightning fast now on 6s.... sweet.
Not really seeing any difference here. Other than the group title name seems to open slower now it seems.

Odd thing is that when in an urban area with a lot of large buildings, I can send iMessages just fine, but SMS messages will not send until I am some miles away from the congested area. Out in the county (I live in St Louis City btw), there is no issues with SMS sending.

Actually, that's not that surprising. The carriers put QoS (Quality of Service) on the traffic on their networks. Voice gets the highest priority, then they'll have various levels of other traffic (http, encrypted/SSL, video (H323, Skype, FaceTime). But, here's the funny thing - SMS / text has always had a "fire and forget it" setup. Messages historically were never guaranteed by any service contracts to be delivered and the servers would often purge messages without getting acknowledgements from their clients. SMS was always the least important type of traffic. So, it stands to reason in areas of high congestion that it'll be the least reliable means of communicating (which is also why BBM - BlackBerry Messenger took off in its day - delivery was guaranteed).

Very true in many cases. What precipitated my comment about it being odd, is that this was never an issue with iOS 9.X.X. Same city, same areas were no problem until I started downloading the iOS 10 public betas.

That IS interesting. That suggests that Apple may be forcing an acknowledgement from the SMS server in the carrier infrastructure before it'll mark the text as being sent (actually creating more reliable texting). Hmm. If the carrier SMS servers aren't up to the same protocol spec as what Apple is expecting, then the lack of being able to send in those areas could be quite the problem. You should use the feedback tool and report that to Apple, so they can close the loop with the carrier.
Just took a look at the settings under iMessage - there isn't a setting to toggle such behaviour - so, looks like this will be always on.

AT&T. I sent a feedback report, along with a screenshot of the error. Again, this is a condition that did not exist with prior iOS versions. As soon as I am three miles outside of city centre, the problem goes away. This problem does not exist in any way with iMessage....just SMS. I have iMessage and well as "send as sms" ON. iMessage and SMS forwarding is also on so that I can send/receive from my MBP.

How can I find shuffle and repeat options in Music app? There's nothing in now playing screen, lockscreen and control center.

Edit: found them by scrolling in now playing screen. That's the only place where they're visible?

I have logged a radar about this.

I have a problem with WiFi.

Since i've upgraded to IOS 10 B7, all WiFi signals are very weak, all signals are poor. . I can loose my connection only 3/4 meters from the WiFi routers... and it isn't stable at all, and speed is very low too beacause of that (droped from 30 Mb/s to 3 Mb/s). I tried several resets with non success.

I think so. I jumped onboard with Public Beta 3 and it's only gotten better each update. I think the entire time I've been on it, I've had a couple of springboard restarts and one crash. But that hasn't happened in a while.

I'm running it on a 64GB iPhone 6.

Is beta 7 stable enough for my 64 gb iPhone 6? I just downloaded it to my school iPad mini and so far so good. Just afraid it will brick my phone.
