Do you guys think that all the resources have been shifted to the car? Because iOS10 was such a disappointment, it should technically be named iOS 9.5.

I don't believe they have a lack of ideas to improve iOS, that can't be it. It's literally the least impactful update since iOS 1, I don't think anyone will disagree with that.

What is happening to Apple?

iOS updates have been pretty disappointing for the past few years, but at least they each had a couple of features I really liked. I haven't seen a single new feature in iOS 10 that I'm excited for. Pretty bummed. Are we EVER going to be able to set default apps? I just want to replace Maps with Google Maps and Phone and Messages with Hangouts. That's literally all I want.

I've given up on a file system because I just don't ever see that happening, but what is the problem with letting us change native apps for third party ones? :/

1. They really didn't do anything about two of the most requested features. (customizable control center and a dark mode).

2. Control center took a step backwards and became more complicated by putting stuff on different pages. Still no 3-D touch on the toggles.

3. The new notification Center also took a step backwards. It's much harder to get to today's view.. And it won't stay on today's view. You have to re-enter the mode each time you pull down control center.

4. After 10 versions they still failed to come up with a solution for managing contact groups.

5. It doesn't really seem like they added the Siri enhancements in AI that everybody was speculating... Leaving Siri way behind the competition.

6. There are 1 million little things that I could list like not having the temperature on the lock screen... It's just crazy that they haven't fix some of the stuff by now.

I would really like to see Swipe support on the stock iOS keyboard. It's really sad that we're 10 versions into iOS and this isn't a core feature yet and requires 3rd party to do it.

I guess that's a good thing because we will still be able to jailbreak considering we're going to need it.

First of all - I'm sure there are things we haven't seen yet - trying to do all the details in a presentation is very time consuming etc.

With what they are opening up to developers etc. we will see exciting things - it is now up to all the app developers . IOS wasn't much in the beginning until the APP store and then all got great.

It is hard to get exciting when what we have is great already. But lets at least let people actually use it and tell us before we comment one way or another.

Short of a complete redesign (iOS 7) and opening up the OS much more (iOS 8) seems like this release is about on par with most other new iOS versions. Not sure what people are expecting, but it seems like it's more about those expectations than about the new iOS version.

Ah how refreshing the voice of reason is.

I just discovered that widgets are no longer dynamic... For example calendars and reminders used to hide if there was nothing in them for the day... Now they show all the time regardless.

It's actually the things that they didn't show the presentation that I'm finding that I don't like the most.

Wasn't disappointing. I'm pretty happy with the beta so far and the additional features. that being said, there were some things I wished they would have done.

  • Swipe feature for keyboard
  • Dark Mode
  • iMessage for Android (Love to use all these new features with all of my contacts, not just most)
  • Default Apps
  • Widgets, like temperature, on the lock screen
  • Estimated time before fully charged when the device is charging

Can you be more specific?

iOS 9 the calendars and reminders section would be hidden... Because there's nothing there.... Eyeless 10 just gives me wasted space... This is hopefully just a bug.

I currently have the developer beta installed and it is actually running pretty well. With that said, I am confused by some of the visual changes. They are...ugly and tacky. Hopefully there are some good tweaks between now and September.
