anyone have an update on when it'll be released? I read within the next month

dying for a jailbreak, going on with 6 months with a factory se booooooring
????

The SE shipped with 9.3 installed. Did you upgrade to 9.3.4 or higher?

As for the iOS 10 jailbreak, I wouldn't count on it. If it does release in a month, great. But nobody knows when.

never bothered with 9.3 jailbreak since it was tethered, it's either full or none for me.

More than when, you should say "if" it happens. It was bad enough with iOS 9.

10 has been jailbreaked since the first beta

Thank you. I stand corrected. Haven't been following the jailbreak community since years. I just picked up on the fact that the last jailbreak was really painful.

Half the time, these devs just show that they have the iOS version jailbroken just to show off and have no intention of ever releasing it. This is why you never get your hopes up.

On the current semi tethered jb it doesn't put you in a Boot loop but screws up the jb permanently and needs a restore to jb again.
Don't advise people to do erase all on jb devices period.
You want to risk it then go for it.

The most recent jailbreak, the one for 9.3.3 and below, doesn't mess with the boot system of iOS so does not go into a unrecoverable bootloop if you use "erase all content and settings". In fact, I frequently use this with my jailbroken devices when I need to and then simply rejailbreak the device with a computer.

The "eternal bootloop" problem with "erase all content and settings" only applies to a completely untethered jailbreak, not to the current jailbreak which requires rejailbreaking on-device with every startup.

On the contrary, it's one of the easiest jailbreaks ever, and only one of a very few not requiring a computer.

Also, it's rather convenient to be able to boot into an non-jailbroken mode without having to boot into safe mode (by holding volume button down during the boot).

Really?! I've been reading on here that the 9.3.3 jail break took much longer to arrive due to various technical issues. Couldn't be bothered to look into the issues myself though.

I think that is dependent on your perspective and your situation.

For me, it's highly inconvenient. Unless I had the one year certificate I'd have to redo the cert every week. Bothersome.

Next, I have Activator reboot my phone ever morning. When I boot up I am jailbroken. I only have to respring because iBlacklist requires it and they give you a dialogue for it right on the lockscreen.

Having to unlock and re-jailbreak every morning would also get old very quickly for me.

For those who rarely reboot and have limited computer access this JB is great. Just not the case for me.

The only thing "painful" about it was the wait, which was brutal.

The jailbreak itself is one of the best ever as far as ease, convenience, and lack of bugs is concerned. The "hassle" of being semi-tethered has been way overblown IMO.

You are one of the very few that keeps preaching this "best ever JB" "lack of bugs" and similar nonsense.
We have dozens of threads popping up here daily with people randomly losing this semi tethered JB, getting stuck having to restore and not be able to do the daily JB process and countless of other issues also tons of Reddit posters.
Glad that you're happy with it but let's not get crazy. Reality is this JB is full of issues and problems from day one and a bunch of hoops to jump through. It's pretty much the worst JB I ever came across since 2007.
It's something I would advise anyone to not bother with.

Not only did you misquote me (I never wrote "best ever"), your assertion that "dozens of threads pop up here daily" is the only "nonsense" that I see.

I have been following this sub forum since its inception, and every jailbreak has had its share of people posting about issues. Name one that hasn't.

For me and the other 10 people whose devices I have jailbroken on 9.3.X using the one-year certificate, we have had virtually zero issues. We should probably start a lottery ticket pool since we're so unbelievably lucky! ;-)

Look again. There's way too many issues with this 9.3.3 jb.
I don't see you posting on the threads where people lost their jailbreak telling them how great and hassle free it is.

To be fair I have been running the safari download jailbreak on my Air 2 from day one and the o my problem was when I pull down the notification it wouldn't open but this was sorted out the next day.

I have several times turned my iPad off and had to run the jailbreak app again to re jailbreak and other than the dock reverting to the standard amount of apps it was perfect.

I can't update to IOS 10 even when I restore iPhone as new Cydia and the other jailbroken apps remain... When I try to install update I get and error code

Consider yourself lucky.
The particular jb is very unstable.
Many others experiences are plagued with problems.

Yes, it took very long for it to arrive, but once it arrived, it was one of the easiest jailbreaks ever.....That is even the original Chinese app on windows. I don't even speak Chinese, but the "click flow" just felt natural, click the box that looked right. Now, you don't even need that app, by using the various methods available.

I have experienced almost no issues with the jailbreak so far. There is an occasional random reboot, but nothing like the 9.0.2 or earlier jailbreaks.

I think the people that have the most issues, are the people who install the most tweaks. Just be careful what you install, and don't try to be the "guy with the most tweaks."

The more tweaks that you install, the more likely it is that they will conflict with each other.

I even have MyWi working, although there have been many complaints of it not working. I do get a SecurityD crash report, each time I enable or disable it, but it does work.

I have 206 tweaks installed. I am on the iOS 9.0.2 jailbreak. I jailbroke the evening it was released. I had ONE reboot a day or two later and it was while I was holding my device in my hands after having installed Activator.

I did not suffer BLoD and my jailbreak has been extremely stable.

I have a rule. If I install it and my battery gets hit or it starts doing wierd stuff it doesn't matter how much I like it or how much I paid for it - it gets removed. A tweak that causes a respring or bootloop gets ONE chance for being fixed and then I remove it.

So far, it's kept me pretty safe.

By the way, 206 tweaks - no lag.

Wow that's a lot. Now I'm curious what they all are lol.

Some are iWidgets, some are themes and some have to do with the jailbreak and tweak support. The tweak that makes the count unfortunately does not differentiate.

Haha, a tweak to count your tweaks. That’s a nice one. I just installed it, I have 70.

I am sure that you have good purpose for all of your tweaks, but I know there are some that just try to install everything they can find.

I wish I was still on 9.0.2... I had very little trouble with that one, just an occasional random reboot, but I think that was a 9.0.2 issue, and not caused by the jailbreak.

On the current semi tethered jb it doesn't put you in a Boot loop but screws up the jb permanently and needs a restore to jb again.
Don't advise people to do erase all on jb devices period.
You want to risk it then go for it.

I've risked it. I've done it. Several times. It does not "screw up" the jailbreak because this jailbreak does not change anything in the initial boot sequence, so there wouldn't be anything TO mess up by doing an "erase all & restore". Not to say it isn't quirk free. Though I've never had any problems restoring on device on any iPhone, for some reason if you do it on an iPad Pro, the bug of not installing Cydia ever will return. So don't do this on an iPad Pro. So far no problem on an iPhone.
