Make a backup (encrypted) with iTunes and update. If you don’t like it, you can still go back (for the time being).

I clicked on both Cnet's Top 10 features of ios10 and 25 hidden features of ios10 - both didn't interest me one bit.

I'm still on 9.0.2 JB and I'm happy.

I'm also curious about iPhone SE performance. I don't like what I'm reading regarding the Messages app draining battery in the background because battery life is a very high priority for me. I don't like the idea of having to force close the Messages app every time I'm done with it to keep it out of the background processes.

I was also reluctant to upgrade because of the Music app changes but today I discovered Cesium thanks to a post on here and that tremendous app solved my music concerns. Just holding out on the possible Messages battery drain problem now.

I'm concerned about the battery life with the Messages app in particular, specifically the drain a lot of folks are noticing when the app runs in the background. I'd expect drain from a crappy coded app like Facebook but not a staple, built-in iOS app like Messages.

No issues but expect a hit on battery life which many other devices are reporting as well. I always turn on "Reduce Motion" under Accessibility to speed things up too.

I think some people are seeing it, and it might be in relation to some people using various new features in the Messages app, using various new Messages apps and the store for them, perhaps having a lot of saved messages and attachments that might be getting indexed, or something else of that nature, given that it's been just over a day since the update came out.

Here
I am pleasantly surprised, iOS 10 is every bit as smooth as iOS 9 and the improved animation speed make iOS 10 feel much more responsive.

I have noticed very few bugs for a first release. Aside from the Music app, I am very happy.

I have been using iOS 10 on iPhone SE since public beta 2 & it handles it just fine. So far I have noticed just two areas to watch out for: advanced Messages stuff, like the new animated drawings, etc. physically heat up the phone, so do the new Maps during the initial routing phase. However, I have been gradually installing iOS 10 variants OTA, so might just have some stuff lingering from the previous betas. Things should also be improving with the future iOS 10 updates.

At all i have no complaints on my SE. The first day there were little stutters now and then, but that stops after 1-2 days, when all internal background calculations are done.

Now I'm very happy. Seems a little faster than 9. Battery life is same, if not little better.

Everything works so far without problems, at least i found nothing yet.

I like the new keyboard that changes languages automatically, it works really good.

All the other changes are more or less meaningless. At all it feels like a faster ios 9 , not like a complete new iOS version.

Battery life looks to be a bit like 9.3.5 but worse for me. What is more I found bugs related to Polish translation and font... just look how ugly it looks on SE:

How can I report these bugs? Found no feedback for my language, and feedback in English do not support attachments.

What about security?

Sure, I'm lacking them.

But I keep nothing, but my CC number on the phone. Don't do any online banking, Apply pay, or any other sensitive stuff from my phone.

So what am I really risking?

PS. Even if they steal my CC info, fraud services will put the kibosh on that.
