I did a DFU restore last night for the 10.2.1 update so I'll see how battery life is now but it's going to have to wait as I walked out my apartment without my phone this morning.

I've had a power drain problem twice on my SE, once it was due to the mail app, and once it was due to iCloud constantly syncing. Both times doing a restore solved the problem.

My SE has 95% battery health and lasts about 9h of usage. I dont use push and very little GPS services running in the background.

Syncing a backup or?

Do you have on iOS 10.2 this weird white screen translation when you have reduce motion turned on and switch between apps?
It's not present on iOS 9.3.5 (no white screen for a part of second ) but it's for sure on 10.0.1 - 10.1.1. Have not seen any 10.2 device when I was in mall today. Even on iSpot (Apple reseller )

I don't see it much on my devices, 10.1.1 or 10.2 but maybe because I'm jail broken and have a dark theme?

It's a placeholder white card to load the app, which is presumably white themed,.

But I also have sped up animations

Whatever it is, don't think its new/personally don't care

Ok, after looking on all jailbreak tweaks I installed 10.2 on SE and JB it.
Again I love this phone.

Touchr (2$ for full) - gives you touch home button gestures like back when hold, 3 taps to lock and normal home button work

FlipControlCenter - finally customizable control center with !!! LTE/2G or LTE/3G switcher. Finally I can tap only one button to use data... also buttons for Low power mode, vpn, hotspot.

Perfect! I hope battery will last close to 9.3.5 (we will check soon)

Annnnd back to 6 hours it goes. Figured the lone 8 hour cycle was too good to be true.

Have you checked your battery cycles? With an app like coconutbattery f.e. Also, did you sign in and out of iCloud password sharing etc.?

Because 6h isnt normal.

After updating from 9.3.5, here's my stats with 24% left... Pretty decent I think.

Ok, my stats under 10.2 are close to 9.3.5 sometimes it's better. Touchr drains battery like crazy and enables reachability when it's turned off (weird, reported to dev). Reachability on SE :)
Jailbreak for sure drinks some battery but I am fine after I found culprit of my battery drain 8% by night which was mentioned Touchr.

So would SE owners agree that battery life is dialed in much better now on 10.2.X? If so I may finally update from 9.3.5. Battery life was the sole reason I haven't made the jump to iOS 10 after all this time.

In my experience, I'd say battery is on par to 9.3.5. I got great battery life on that OS on my SE, so I didn't upgrade right away. However, the battery is just as great with 10.2.1 installed.

Well, a month on, my battery life - which used to be on par with 9.3.5 - has taken a bit of a hit as well I'm afraid.

Whereas I'd get around 8 hours usage with 20% battery left, I'm now down to barely 5 hours at the same level.

Haven't changed the way I use my phone either or installed any particular apps, so a three hour difference is pretty disappointing...

I feel like battery has taken a hit, but I'm ok with it overall for having latest API/relatively latest version

10.2 has been quite nice coming from 9.3.3 coming from 10.0 betas, in the summer
