so can someone test this? I can't update since my crappy battery life from 11.0.0 is keeping me from updating.

Open safari, press the home button to exit, open another app, press home button to exit, then open safari again. Does it stutter?
Not at all for me. That being said, different models may behave differently. iPhone 7 Plus here.

For the record, my 8 Plus without the lag or stutter was set up as new with iOS 11.0. No backups.

Why iOS 11 was 1.9 Gb and iOS 11.0.1 is 1.13 Gb file size ? Is there anyone knows why tooo different sizes for 6

Could you upload a quick video of the 8 closing apps? It would really interesting if they fixed home button delay on the 8 and not the 7.

If you exploit that stop animations bug on iOS 11 the home button lag disappears along with all animations. The phone becomes super fast. It’s a pity it’s effect only lasts till you lock the phone.

Yep, right off the bat, 8 Plus is much better, and it wasn't that bad to start with compared to my 7 Plus. (8Plus was set up as new though compared to update on 7Plus)
who to believe lmao. I love the different perceptions people have.

My wife's 8 plus still has the 3D Touch stutter, and doesn't seem any different or better than my 7 plus.

Plug your phone in and do an update from iTunes. I imagine that will solve most of your issues and concerns. I don't trust OTA updates personally.

This popped up after the update: "Your SIM sent a text message"

Anyone seen this message before, after an update on 11?

Very likely this update was ONLY to fix that Exchange bug. Would be very bad to have that one around considering how many companies are reliant on Exchange.

3d touch lag is a little bit better but still has some kind of microstutters. The homebutton lag is also there.

But at all it feels smoother. Glad you can stop the app opening animation by clicking on the homebutton again like ios 10.3.3. opening folders is way faster
