Well, I deleted the app but just redownloaded it to see and sure enough, doesn’t ask for Photos access at all, even on subsequent tries.

iOS 11.0.3 Bug Fixes, Changes and Improvements

I would take all the stutters and battery drain over security flaws any day. Hopefully they’re onto it
I installed 11.0.3 yesterday and it still occurs, even after hard resetting it.
On an 8+ if that makes a difference.
Whats that with the new update warning if you dont have apples authentic display your phone could be bricked or something? .. My phones display got totaly broken so i replaced it on some local shop .. and i suppose its not the apples display...

So... Whole UI is just jumping around whenever you tilt the phone slightly. Is this is known issue?

EDIT: I have 2 iPhone 8's with iOS 11.0.3, both with the same issue.
Other issue. Often screen wont turn off by itself even though it's set to do so after 1min.

For some reason, my phone decided to update to 11.0.3. one night while I was asleep. I never asked for it, being completely satisfied with ios 10.
Since then, my phone has been buggy. Every 1-2 minutes, it will freeze, with the only option to put it to sleep and then wake it up again. Also, battery life has come down to hours.
Did a complete reinstall yesterday, to no avail. No third-party replacement parts.
I really do believe Apple has lost direction. How can a company which used to pride itself on superior UX defend sending (in the THIRD update in two weeks!) such a poor ios on the market?
On a sidenote: Many, many years ago, iTunes and the iPod (2nd generation) was actually what brought me to the Apple pond. As everyone is of course aware, iTunes is now in a state where using it for bringing your cd collection on the go is in practice impossible. Apple wants me to start using Apple Music instead, but why would I? I have thousands of cd's, most of them titles (or versions) Apple Music will never be able to provide. Why is Apple trying to force me to pay for an inferior product by letting iTunes rot away?

Spoke too soon. Still broken. Worked on the first reboot after updating but today is way off again.
I haven't installed the 11.1.1 update yet, but I'm curious if others have experienced this issue and figured out how to resolve it. I've googled and searched other forums, and can't find anything that relates to my issue, but maybe I'm not describing it properly.
My notification center (*collective sigh*) is showing SEVEN DAYS of notifications, even AFTER I clear every single one of them. As soon as I get another set of current notifications, at least a week's worth will come back. Most of the notifications are from Mail, and there used to be a setting in the mail client to only show a certain number of notifications, but I can no longer find that setting.
I really don't care about mail I received a week ago, especially when I've already CLEARED the notification once I saw it to begin with. Why is it coming back??? It's so irritating. Can someone shed some light on this? Or tell me how to adjust the amount of notifications I receive because I can't find anything related in settings.

I would give 11.1.1 a go. I found 11.1 to be an improvement over 11.0.x
I had problems with notifications with 11.0 and still some but fewer. I just think there are a few bugs that need ironing out. If you have installed via iTunes (and as long as it’s not a bad install that requires a restore) you should notice at least some improvement
One of the bugs fixed in iOS 11.1 was to stop returning mail notifications from showing up.
Update didn't improve this issue. It's still happening. And it's still frustrating. Why can't I dictate how many mail notifications are shown like I used to? You used to be able to select "5 most recent items" or something along those lines. I don't see what anywhere now.
That hasn't been around for a few iOS versions now.
Have you tried 3D Touching the 'x' that appears in Notification Center and the selecting the Clear All option to clear all notifications? And perhaps restarting after that, just in case something got stuck somewhere?
I'll try that. If that doesn't resolve the issue, I guess I'll turn off mail notifications all together - which isn't convenient, but better than being bombarded with the same notifications.
