I have way many more bugs than that....11.1 Beta 2 is way buggier than Beta 1 IMO. I felt initially like 11.1 Beta 2 was solid and responsive when it first installed but over time things lag and freeze and I find myself soft resetting it once every other day. I’m on the Public Beta software. I’m just gonna deal with it like I always do tho.

Overall this build feels solid. Although, I’m still getting frequent delays when typing messages. I’ll type the first word, then nothing appears for 2-3sec, then everything at once to catch up. Anybody else experiencing this?

6s+

I’m having the exact same issue, 6s+. Submitted a bug report about it. Extremely annoying when switching to my messages app or using quick relay and run into it consistently.

Had my first issue with B2 on my 8+ today. Was navigating with Google Maps and the screen froze. Had to hard reset to regain access. Happened 3 times.

Suddenly I have a lot of lag on my 7+, I have hard reseted it a few times and still, lag to do things, open things, write on keyboard, see notifications, load widgets...

Is it just me or are animations quite a bit better in general on 12.9 gen 2 with 11.1 PB2 over 11.0 ?

Hopefully we get another beta on Monday. It happens regularly now and my patience is wearing thin. #firstworldproblems

Better than iOS 10.3.3 would you say? I ask because I've just bought a 12.9 gen 2 which ships with that version and am currently marvelling at ProMotion. I'm too scared to update though as my iPhone lags on iOS 11.1 and with all these other people saying theirs are also lagging. Are things still just as smooth like they are on iOS 10.3.3 considering ProMotion or do they now feel laggier like on iPhones?

I spent zero time on 10.3.3 so can't comment

Similarly, I find an extreme lag (3-6 seconds) when sharing from photos or somewhere else to messages? I tap messages and wait then iMessage opens much later. Happens about 80% of the time

Ah no worries. There's no where near as many lag issues here as there are on iOS 11 on my iPhone so was just curious. Think I'll stay put for now.

If in doubt stay put.

I cant comment on iOS 11 performance either on my 7Plus cause it's been on 10.1.1 for a year now for jailbreak.

So I've literally never used 10.3.x anything haha

I’m not sure if this is a problem with iOS 11.1 or something wrong with my 6s, but I’m having severe issues with music playback lately on both Bluetooth and through the headphone jack. The sound will drop for a few seconds and then come back. Sometimes when I listen via a wired connection I get something akin to a scratched/dirty skipping CD. This happens with both purchased tracks and my own rips, all of which play flawlessly on my IPad Air 1 which is also running 11.1. I can’t decide if I should tough it out for the next update to see if that fixes it or if I should take my phone to the Apple store.

Apple Maps or Google Maps? I am seeing that issue with Google Maps since beta 1. I was hoping that beta 2 would fix it but no such luck so I submitted bug reports with Apple and google

Isn’t that the expected behavior of airplane mode?
With Google Maps.

All iOS versions wait for a second press. If it didn’t it would jump to homescreen immediately and you would never have a chance to double press. That’s why the delay gets even longer when you add triple click behavior in the mix. You want a delay that’s long enough for most people to be able to double press. But not too long to be noticeable.

When the 7 arrived with it’s capacitive home button something changed. I’m not sure what so I’m only just speculating. But when going to the app switcher the app that was in foreground would bounce down a little before going up again to the app switcher row. As if the pressing the home button once would immediately close the app and then the second press would stop that animation and snap it back up.

With iOS 11 this is now fixed. It doesn’t bounce anymore. But there is now a slight delay before the app closes when pressing the home button once.

Exactly this. People in these forums were freaking out over the "bounce," calling it a stutter and a glitch for months. Apple did smoothen it out to make it difficult to notice, but it was still there in the most recent version of iOS 10. iOS 9 and prior incorporated the delay that is now back in iOS 11. Another thing to note is that Apple re-jigged all the home screen and multitasking-related animations in iOS 11 presumably due to the new gestures on iPads and iPhone X.

Apparently you can no longer “hide” people in the ‘People’ album within Photos...you can only reset the album, only to have it rescan and the people repopulate half an hour later. This really stinks - I want that album empty.

I have 10.3.3 on a ProMotion iPad and there is zero bounce or anything of the sort. The home button delay is a problem

I'm not sure "bounce" is the best term for it; basically, the beginning of the app close animation is ever so slightly slower than the rest of the animation, giving a fraction of time for the second button click to open the app switcher. In the earlier iOS 10 releases, the beginning of the animation was noticeably slower, which caused a lot of complaints. I believe it's still works the same way in the latest iOS 10 releases, but the difference is so subtle that it's unnoticeable. I'm also not sure whether it's best to compare a ProMotion iPad with a non-ProMotion device, especially iPhones, due to the differences in screen size and refresh rate. Let's also remember that this phenomenon was/is also limited to the iPhone 7 and not prior iPhones, so it seems to be device-dependent (by design).

It seems like Apple W1 is bugged with iOS 11.1 BETA2 as well. I first thought it was only my Beats Studio3 Wireless being silly when I configured them as it told me that I needed to update iOS for them to fully work. But I also noticed I no longer have any of the Apple W1 controls/settings on my Apple AirPods that I normally had with iOS10 or the extended ones we got with iOS11 under bluetooth settings either.
[doublepost=1508006883][/doublepost]I just "updated" to 11.0.3 through iTunes. The share amount of bugs just got the best of me.
