If you have home button delay, try removing tripple click shortcuts, like zoom. Turn them all off. When you enable shortcuts it usually causes a delay intentionally to give you a chance to activate the shortcut.
For anyone who has a delay in your home button operation (delay to close app or to bring up multi tasking). Try this. It worked for me! Thanks Cisco!

Its not that it doesn't work ever, it is random. It may update when you swipe over or it may not. You never know but 90% of the time you look at widget and click it to open the weather app and the two do not match. Thats the issue. On iOS 10.3.3 if I slide to widget screen, its either updated or I see it update right then. In iOS 11 it is a crap shoot if its updated or not therefore pretty useless.

Set the Weather app to Always in location services. That will fix the widget.

Nope, Nope, and Nope :) Tried always, only when used, never, off on, remove widget and re-add. Nothing seems to make it reliable in iOS 11. Works as expected 100% in iOS 10.3.3. Currently its basically just a new icon to launch the weather app to see the weather. o_O

[Disclaimer]. Not that this is a big deal or making me want android or toss away Apple etc. Just an observation with an issue that wasn't there previous to iOS 11.

Were your accessibility shortcuts turned on before? This is how it is for me.

This does fix the delay to access multitasking, but has no effect on home button speed in iOS 11. iOS 10, absolutely.

This worked for me but i like my triple-click feature. Im leaving it on. This should end all home button delay discussions.

Beta 4 fixes the lightning and bluetooth connectivity to my 2011 Hyundai Tucson's OEM receiver (non-nav). Of course, I didn't discover that until this morning, as I'm on my way to have an Alpine ILX-107 installed so I don't have these issues anymore. :(

Digging CarPlay. No issues with my 6s. Hopefully beta 5 doesn't introduce any instability either.

Now to get a wireless charging pad for the SUV and I'll be all set for the iPhone X.

That setting is not the "issue". This all started with the iPhone 7 having a faster responding home button compared to the mechanical one in iOS 10. Apple has now with iOS 11 brought the mechanical behavior to the iPhone 7's capacitive home button. This is the difference people are experiencing. I noticed this immediately, but have now gotten used to it so it doesn't really bother me.

if that’s the case then it’s not really a bug, it’s a feature.
