Is it just me or is tapping the top of the screen to “jump to top” actually worse than it was before, despite this being a specified fix? I didn’t notice it was broken before, but it’s certainly hit and miss now.
The change is more about how the animation for that finishes (as in it decelerates a bit now at the end rather than just essentially stopping). It doesn't seem that it changed or affected how reliable it is or anything like that.

I made a few posts about the battery usage numbers not being recorded the same way.

Just updated to iOS 11.1 and it’s back to the way it used to be. It’s recording podcasts as usage while in the background, which I’m quite sure it wasn’t in 11.0-11.0.3 (avid podcast listener)

How does 11.1 compare to 10.3.3 when it comes to performance and battery life (particularly on the iPhone 7)?

I’ve got 80% left after 2 straight hours of podcasts since updating and taking my phone off charge.

I think there are likely processes still taking place after the install, but it’s at least feedback for you.

(I didn’t see very many complaints about it in the 11.1 beta 5 thread either)

Iphone SE Verizon 16GB:

Battery hasn’t changed from 11.0-11.0.3, as in it is absolutely horrible and definitely has me looking for a Pixel. Usage hasn’t changed nor settings from iOS 10.3.3 and I only get 2.5 hours of usage before hitting 50% consistently (every single iOS 11 version, including 11.1). I’ve been on beta 5 for a week and the build is the same as today’s update.

10.3.3 I would have 4 hours of onscreenusage before hitting 50% consistently.

Came from 11.1 beta 4, System eating up space.
Updated OTA to 11.1 final release yesterday, system still bigger than 15 GB.
Then I deleted the iPhone and restored iTunes backup - System is still that big!

What to do now?

11.1 is an improvement, but still my 6S is buggy (freezes and has to be put to sleep, then woken up before inputs are recorded), plus higher battery consumption than under ios 10.

So 11.1 is much better than 11.0.3, but still not as good performing as ios 10.

Available for: iPhone 7 and later, and iPad Pro 9.7-inch (early 2016) and later

Impact: An attacker in Wi-Fi range may force nonce reuse in WPA clients (Key Reinstallation Attacks - KRACK)”

Is krack only fixed for newer devices?

Important question! I also want to know this

I called Apple tech support and reported the issue. If you could do the same, that would be great.

I also reported an issue with a missing Apple weather app on iPad, even though the Apple weather widget is present on iPad. Even the supervisor on duty was shocked, that the Apple weather app is missing from her iPad, but is present on iPhone. So it was escalated to their engineers.

I also raised a concern, in friendly way possible, that there is no option for country music while waiting for an Apple advisor. Spoke to 3 people and I might get might wish. With all my years dealing with customer service, I have never spoken with anyone one who cared more about my music genre.

Google and Samsung can suck it!
I don’t know what to say. I removed the app and reinstalled it, and now the bug reported yesterday happens just occasionally!

Hmm. That's pretty bad if you had the screen off while listening to podcasts!

I listen to podcasts all the time on my 7 which is still on 10.3.3 and the percentage after 2 hours of podcasts will usually only move the meter 5% or so while listening with Bluetooth headphones.

Home button delay, worse battery life and the annual slight dulling of performance... no no. I'm sticking on my 10.3.3 with my 7.

I was browsing on my phone a bit too, but not a huge amount.

Yeah 10.3.3 was good but an X.3.x will always be better than an x.1

Another plus of 10.3.3 is the stock app layouts

In the assistive touch menu that appears when you click the virtual on-screen home button, in iOS 11, there is a new Restart option in iOS11. This seems to be the only place where Restart shows up.
Previously, you have to shut down the iPhone and start manually again.

iOS 11.1 on iPhone 6s plus is a big, big improvement performance wise. It's very smooth and Safari scrolling pages is smooth as butter as well. Very good optimisation update.

Plus, like I said in a previous post, 3D app switcher works better than before. If I remember right, on iOS 10 and 9 you had to touch the left close to top corner of the screen, but now, you just have to touch the left corner, bottom, middle or on top, so its much easier. I just wished 3d app switcher worked in landscape mode.
I'm still 10.3.3 and you can 3d touch anywhere on the left side of the screen (not just the top left). BUT, that's good to hear it's back :) Maybe I'll update.... maybe....

My System went from not even existing at all to 10.52 GB, so somehow I lost 10 Gb of space.

My 6s is running much better than it did. I can finally unlock my iPhone without having to wait 15 seconds.

As I’ve posted, my phone is getting quite hot when I watch videos/app switch. Is no one else having this problem!? iPhone 7

11.1 has introduced a screenshot bug for me. 11.03 didn’t do this. Screenshot attempt seems to do nothing. Attempted 20 times or so with apparently no response by the phone. Then discovered about 20 screenshots in my photos.

Some controls, example: applying a photo from the photo app as wallpaper, press action, get a pause then launch. Even seeing this in Health when I have to manually Update Flights climbed.

Several apps like Polymail, will indicate new mail but waits to load till you open. I found that after app updates, most are working fine.

It is just me or 3D Touch app switcher feels way more responsive than before? So far it’s realy smooth on my 6s plus.
[doublepost=1509490367][/doublepost]Voice memo bug still present... :/

App switcher is more responsive . I still have problems opening it when I use my tumb with right hand . None whatsoever when I use left tumb when holding in right hand .I can't understand why .

There has never been a  weather app on iPad
