I'm assuming this is available online right now? Since, it is not showing up via OTA...yet.

*Update* just showed up for me now.

All it says is security update nothing else so goes nothing else is diff and I’m sure lag is still there

From 15C153 to 15C202, I'm pretty sure there is more to it than just security update. Each update there are security and performance fix.

According to some reports, patching Spectre/Meltdown can negatively affect performance, so this is probably one of the few updates where I would expect a performance drop.

just installed and using same lag swipping from app page to widget oh well, bring on 11.3 :)

Yeah I bet they purposely added more lag to this build to start getting folks ready to consider and start saving $$ for the $1500 iPhone Xs or 11 when it comes out next year.

What do you think there is more than security in 11.2.2?

I believe those reports are mostly in regard to servers and such in an enterprise. Not so much for personal PC/laptop etc. Apple has stated no performance hit for their devices (for what its worth).

This is one of the few times that Apple isn't to blame. The exploit is that bad. :(

Ah, I see. I heard the most noticeable drops are going to be in I/O operations or anything that requires a lot of syscalls. If Apple says their devices won't take a performance drop, I'll believe it.

What happened? You were all happy when you got the X. Now it doesn't work anymore either?

Haptic feedback is still dodgy on iPhone X while swiping up from CC (fixed in 11.2.5 beta).
Possibly only a security update.

I love the phone but the lag is trying me crazy I went from beta back to stable public and still same I don’t understand why

the problem is once people start obsessing over these things, they're always going to see it. You're being your own worse enemy at this.

I'm sure you'll keep us in the loop of your constant dissatisfaction here...

Good to hear that they will fix this in 11.2.5! I have the feeling that this haptic-feedback-cc-bug isnt good for the HapticEngine... maybe iam wrong.
Also the haptic feedback is very random for me in 11.2.1/11.2.2 when im closing the cc. Also fixed in 11.2.5 beta?

No, sir. They increment the build number to distunguish releases. They jump from 15C15x to 15C200. There were only 3 builds 15C200, 15C201 and 15C202. It is expected to take 3 builds to make sure security fixes work as expected. I'm pretty confident that this release only contains mitigations for Spectre in Safari and WebKit. Safari and WebKit require more attention and test since they affect apps using WebKit engine to render pages which explains why there are 3 builds for iOS 11.2.2. It does not make sense to expect any other changes in a point release while iOS 11.2.5 is already in beta to test any other changes rather than urgent security fixes.

Tried an other device? Set up complet new? When this also is on other devices... try to ignore and wait for updates. Then there is no better performance atm.

What version was it working fine on? So it went wonky when you installed a beta and downgrading back didn't fix it? Did you reset all settings after downgrading back to the release version? They still signing 11.2 & up if you need to downgrade back to 11.2 (if that is when it was working ok)
