Are other browses on iOS not affected by these Meltdown and Spectre bug.. or is it a system-wide fix by Apple?

Highly annoyingly, notifications for email and messages seem to have broken with this update. The fixes discussed in threads here and in pages found with Google don't work. I may try going back to 11.1.2 [edit: should be 11.2.1] tonight to see if that solves the problem. I *think* I have an archived backup from immediately prior to the update but need to make sure I don't loose the health and exercise data on my Watch.

Apple is no longer signing 11.1.2 so downgrades to it aren't possible.

Edit: Or did you mean 11.2.1?

Anyone getting horrendous lag in the calendar app? Scrolling through meetings takes forever, and the touch screen is really unresponsive. This just started after the update.

On iPhone X does the ringer volume get lower when you look at the phone while getting a call?

This feature stopped working on all 11.2.5 betas. I wonder if it’s something Apple decided to remove?

Maybe for you. It works on 11.2.5 for me as well as others in the thread

I only installed it about an hour ago but I’ve noticed that TouchID seems slower on my 8 Plus. Feels more like 1st gen TouchID all of a sudden.

good morning I found the problem with photos. Normaly photo looks blury, but then you a little bit zoom in and the zoom out to normal, photo quality change to realy good without blur, then swipe to the next photo and back to previous and the problem the same..

It’s me or Face ID is faster with this version? Lock goes from closed to opened faster without the animation.

This is def polishes for my
X. Haven’t seen any issues with this iOS version. Hope 11.2.5 gets better when it’s finally out of beta.

Didn't notice any performance changes, but noticed a MUCH worse battery life, especially while on standby. (iPhone 6)
I know it may be indexing after an update, but it's the first time battery life was decreased after an update, so I think indexing isn't the reason.
Am I the only one seeing this?

If I’m on beta 4 of 11.2.5 how would I downgrade to 11.2.2 official without losing data? My first attempt failed and it stated I need to reset device.

Seems like Apple have made some modifications with 11.2.2 regarding slowing phones down, like 6s. My 6s has a not so good battery (2 years old). My 6s was affected by the very well know syndrome of slowing phones down to solve battery problems by making the hardware slower.

Now, with 66 prcent battery, my phone died. Which is just as Apple said it would happen without the workarounds

I also read that other people are complaining about ”real bad battery performace with IOS 11.2.2”.

For me it seems like Apple somehow has decided to stop slowing phones down. Maybee not in full, but with a compromise, and that could be why people are experiencing sudden shut downs and draining batteries with older iphones on IOS 11.2.2.

-Just my speculation.
