comparing my iphone 7 on 10.3.3 to iphone 8 on 11.2 there is still a slight home button delay. it is not the same for sure
Does your 7 feel more responsive with faster animations and overall stability with keeping apps in memory too? This is what I felt when comparing my 7 to an 8 in the store.

yes. it's a shame after 18 versions of ios 11 apple still refuses to fix the home button delay (to make the x look better)

yeah it just feels quicker and more polished but its hard to compare a software that is in its .3.3 iteration to one that is in beta 1 of a .2

There have been 18 versions of iOS 11? Not sure betas count as versions. And we don't really know if Apple is refusing (simply because it hasn't been changed so far), nor that it has been done on purpose to make iPhone X look better somehow (given that the vast majority of typical users that represent the vast majority of consumers don't even notice something like that, let alone would give it much care, especially to the degree of making that influence their decision to buy the X). In any case, this is really more for Apple has PURPOSELY introduced lag/delay with Home Button interactions

The app closing animation ui is different. It now shows the app icon going from full screen to the app icon size

Not sure if you really want to, but you can take a peek at the 50+ page thread about it all over at Apple has PURPOSELY introduced lag/delay with Home Button interactions
I took a peek at this thread and I still think the reaction is exagerated. Some people are acting like it makes the device unusable.

That said, I did notice that when opening an app and pressing the home button in the middle of the opening animation, the app will close immediately even if the animation is not finished. I think there was a delay in previous ios 11 versions.
