I assume you are talking about inability to know if Power Save mode was enabled during the screenshot of battery life? Well, people can cheat, they can keep it enabled, then switch it off and take screenshots, but that is not what anyone is doing here, I am sure.
On another note, if Power Save was enabled when the screen shot was taken, you'd see a nice mustard yellow battery telling you that Power Save is enabled.![]()
Can anyone replicate this bug?
Start recording a voice memo, and while recording go to home screen and use 3DT. There is no haptic feedback.
It might not be a bug but a subtle and beautiful feature, because the buzz from the haptic feedback will be picked up by microphone. I'm so glad this is there.
Please take off your bug-finding lenses and start thinking from the point of a developer generally known to take great care in design.
Yes. Sometimes Siri cuts me off before i've finished my sentence also. Currently awaiting a call back from a senior support technician. They escalated my case to engineering. Apparently this issue has been reported by quite a few people.
Don't do what? Disable a system sound/vibration that they have no access to?Ah so that’s why it’s there.
But the third party apps in the store don’t do this.

Why are the apps there? I'm not even sure where to start with that one. Then why are those apps there if the Taptic Engine interferes with the microphone.

I would like to confirm that I also see this annoying message about Bluetooth activation whenever I open the App Store (when I have disabled Bluetooth).
I noticed this also but mine doesn’t freeze it just gets noticeably slower. Is a new “feature” that when the battery is almost empty then instead of acting normally and then automatically shutting down the phone it starts to lag a lot, stall, freeze and be basically unusable until the battery completely dies.
Is there any chance the battery life will be fixed on 7 Plus? Apple has ruined it completely. 7 hours of use is max I get.
Uh, you mean like this? How about posting some actual supporting data with your claims? A screenshot of the battery usage screen maybe? That might let folks take your post serious... (Maybe a switch to Android would suit you better)
I was easily getting 10 hours or more on iOS 10.3.3. Ever since iOS 11 dropped its been limited to 7 hours no matter what I do and this is with moderate use. I have even tried low power mode.
This is my battery level after just around 3 hours.

Yes I have said this for years. If the device is not hard locked it’s best to just reset using the restart option. Hard restart is really for when the device is locked up totally and nothing responding. Just equate that to pulling the plug out of the wall on a computer when you just want to restart it. Not a good idea at all as it’s best to let it shutdown gracefully.I keep hearing about people doing hard restarts. However, I have read that hard restarts of IOS are not a good idea and can potentially corrupt data. Just because one has never had any issues doing so, doesn't mean it is a good Idea. The same is true with Mac OS, Windows, etc.
Anybody care to weigh in on this. I would love to get some feedback concerning this practice.
Here is a recent article about it, by a former, Apple employee:
https://www.payetteforward.com/how-to-hard-reset-iphone-why-its-bad/
I don't have time to re-read it now,but I hope it is useful. I'm sure it shows some use cases for hard resets.
Thanks
I sure hope the absence of auto-stop after turning of bluetooth headphones is a bug because its really get in my nerves.. iOS has always automatically stopped playback when your current active playback device gets disconnected so I have always just turned my bluetooth headphones off when I'm getting home. Why would I click stop, then turn them off?
So whats happened to me three times this week is that all my podcasts have gotten played by mistake because the phone keeps playing them after I have turned off my Beats Studio3 headphones.. As my phone is on silent all the time the phone has just kept playing my podcasts without any audio after I have turned of my headphones. Its so darn annoying.
