you dont need to do restore to downgrade to 11.1.2 press the shift on the update and you dont lose any data on the iphone. Download the 11.1.2 .ipsw file for your device then update with iTunes Hold down the option/shift key then click "update".

I got a notice that FACE ID won't work after downloading update. And now it doesn't. But I'm not sure why.

animoji recognition not working after update--plus other more serious issues
Bummer--never had any issues with any other update in years ??

After updating to 11.2, if you start a NEW text thread, and only send an emoji (smile face, etc.) the screen turns all white and the only way to get it back to normal is to quit the text (messaging app) and launch it again. Happens on iPhone X, iPhone 7 and iPhone 5. All with iOS 11.2. This is a major bug that needs to be fixed. Try it yourself.

I’m not certain how you went about this but I just sent my wife an emoji with no text on my 8 plus with no issue. I first cleared any previous conversation with her and sent it as a new message.

Avid ebook reader here... I can no longer use my Mac to Airdrop a .epub ebook and open in any app of my choosing (one of probably 12 different ones I had). My primary ebook reader was Marvin, but now it just forces ebooks to open in s***ty iBooks.

I tried opening the same book from Box app and Box now just crashes rather than allowing an "open in". Trying to figure out if I can roll back, it's a deal-breaker for me. Both my iPads on 11.1.2 still Airdrop normally where you can "Open in" any of your apps.

Starting to get really tired of Apple's bad QA. If I wasn't all in - work and home, on Apple devices, it tempts me to go back to the dark side. Which was equally buggy but at least gave me control over where files opened in.

On 11.2 there is some stutter here an there for my X , some second long delay on various things ... Therefore, I’d say that the general system performance is quite worse than on 11.1 for me...
‘Nice’ job, Apple... again...

For me it works.... For my friends' one too.

I had to reboot the phone. But before I tried that solution, I reset Face ID. That didn't work, in fact it would not let me set up Face ID again. But after the reboot (yes I don't know why I didn't try that first), I could reset Face ID and it works fine again.

I am experiencing problems with the touch interface becoming unresponsive across all apps. Restarting the app temporarily fixes it.

ios is getting worse after each damn update

Thought it was all going well after the update.... I unlocked the phone today and the dock had relocated its self to the right! I had to reset the phone to return it to normal..

Before the 11.2 update, swiping up into the control center used to be buttery smooth. Swiping up would still give that cool window grab animation even though I had animations turned off. Now it just fades into the control center in a clumsy way. If I turn animations on the window grab is back but it’s jerky. I’m using an iPad Pro 9.7, same thing happens on an iPad Air.

Since 11.2 both my and my wife’s phone have “connect by cable to iTunes/computer” in Settings/General/WiFi sync. Both our phones sync and backup over WiFi just fine. No cable needed but nothing we do gets rid of that screen. I’ve tried using a cable, toggling the setting in iTunes, restarting everything. Nothing worked. The setting on my iPad Pro is normal.

my biggest issue with 11.2 now is imessage. For some reason, when someone replies to my message, it is listed above my original message on my screen. Happens on my daughters phone as well. 6S

11.2 on my X was good at first now its laggy so much changing page its horrible why cant why apple just sort this out, how many more updates till its smooth thats all i want, at this rate ios 12 will fix it ios 11 is a joke

My text on homescreen under apps is now black and not white. Not that big of a deal but noticed everyone else still has white text, so just wondering why that is? Or if this happened to anyone else?

Do you have a very light background?

No, it’s a pink background. Same background I had in the last update.
It may be just light enough to trigger the black text. iOS now uses dynamic text color depending upon the background. You can even see the dots which indicate an app has been updated will change shade based on the background.
