This beta is too slow in response. And yes, that long tap delay is extremely annoying. I am willing to use this beta but such delay is horrible.
If there is a way to mitigate this issue, I think I can continue trying out.
TBH, this version is worse than iOS 9 and iOS 10 first beta in terms of this delay thing.

Someone in a Discord chat said clearing the app switcher mitigates the issue. Can you try it?

On that note clearing the app switcher on iPad is so counter-intuitive now. You have to hold the cards until tiny x's come up and you have to individually press each one.

Yep, we'll be getting more of those. Gotta pay to play :)

I’m enjoying this beta so much. To me it’s smoothly. Just three minor annoyances

1. Can’t turn Bluetooth on from CC (don’t use Bluetooth anyways)
2. Long holding flashlight in CC doesn’t bring up UI but can still change the intensity
3. My phone app

Overall an amazing beta to me

I have restored back to iOS 10.3.2. So cant try that now.
Also... why on earth Apple needs the user to tap a tiny "X" to close an app without force touch?
Maybe I need to wait for next beta or more reports from other users before updating again.

Same here, I had to restore to 10.3.3b2 since my latest backup was on that version and because I actually need my phone to work properly.

I used each and every iOS 10 Beta starting from 10.0b1 to 10.3.3b2 and it was never as bad as this first beta. Kind of interesting.

Guys i observed that in ios 11 the animations lag decreases if you remove the assistive touch. For me the speed of opening apps improved

Sometimes the music player is in the lock-screen despite nothing using it and I can't get rid of it unless I reboot. Also at one point the home button wouldn't exit me out of settings. Aside from that its okay. How long do you think until an update?

Yeah thats awful... Like why a star?
Hollywood boulevard. They expect you to rent/buy more movies than music these days.

Yep. Noticed this as well. It just always appears as off for me. What device?
Always appear off for me too. But AirPod works so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes.
And to SPEAK to Siri, you’ll have to turn it off from settings (that’s so stupid).
You can still “Hey, Siri” to speak to Siri with Type to Siri on.

Safari View Controller isn’t working in this beta. Many third party apps are falling back to their web views.

I saw a few posts here and it's not slow. It does take time for everything to truly update in the background. i have an iPad Air 2 (i think - sorry the Apple iPad naming strategy is terrible) its works fast then slows down a bit and works fast again.

iPhone 7 plus 256gb I have no lag issues. Instagram froze briefly but all is good now. Whatsapp was my big concern and that works.

love the gif album in the Photos app. My guy group chat has gifs going crazy in there (over 21 000 images/videos posted) and I would favourite gifs to keep them handy. This makes life so much simpler.

like the iMessage icloud sync as I have over 10gb of texts/imessages. I have texts/imessages all the way back to july 2010. I have over 120gb of free space so it wasn't really an issue but it was taking up memory on my iPad that doesn't have as much memory.

trying the iMessage sync as I head off to bed. Will see if that and icloud backup works. In my past experience, icloud backup usually always takes a few tries after the very first install of a new ios version (not including the .0 or.1)

I feel like Apple needs to refine iOS 11 significantly. There is no consistency in any of their design choices at all, control center has lost the frosted glass look and now has this dark tone with no indication or labels that define what is what. The whole lock screen Notification Center thing is a bit weird too.

I don't see any new useful features just a few changes that may or may not make iOS a bit easier to use.

The performance is absolutely terrible, reminds me of iOS 8 quite a bit with the delays and jittery performance.

Overall, not too impressed with iOS 11.

You are judging performance of a whole major version of an OS going by beta 1?

For me as now: [iPhone 7 Plus]
The Beta 1 itself seems not that slow, my major complains are
- the keyboard is almost unusable - get stuck at almost every tap (switched to gboard, only improves a little)
- i do confirm that swiping on notifications from the lockscreen is gone, or broken
- the imessage apptray is not going anywhere also if disabled
- sharing functionality is kind of broken (at least in third-party apps): tapping the share icon doesn't give me the option to send to another app (ex. share photos from Google Photos to Telegram)

No other relevant stuffs atm. Thinking of reverting back to iOS 10.3.2
