Hi everyone, I held off installing this yesterday (as I only have the one phone and am not a developer, just someone who enjoys being cutting edge) but am thinking about installing it today.

In the wiki, the following concern me:
  • Auto-brightness is broken
  • Can't switch FaceTime camera
Are these universal issues or just the one person who put the relevant item into the wiki? Thanks!

Auto-brightness is also broken for me, though disabling and enabling it quickly changes the brightness to the current level.
As for FaceTime, someone else has to verify that - I don't use FaceTime. I can verify though that normal front camera usage is okay.

Guys i observed that in ios 11 the animations lag decreases if you remove the assistive touch. For me the speed of opening apps improved
I just left the device for a while and the launching speeds were okay (excluding the delay).

For a 1st Beta it's not too bad.

For the first couple of hours it was really sluggish as everything was indexing but this morning it's running perfectly fine, not as buttery smooth as the official release obviously but definitely not bad enough for me to revert back.

Opening apps occasionally freezes/stutters for a second or so but then it's fine. Going to test out battery life today but after 1 hours usage, I'm down to 88%. I think that's only slightly worse than iOS 10.

All in all, not a bad beta, though it somehow feels lacking in new features, I'm not sure about the new lockscreen notification thing either, I find myself missing notification centre.

Not letting me connect to WiFi.

Anyone else?

Not sure if you have solved your issue yet (haven't read through all the pages), but I had the same issue and solved it by resetting network settings on my iPhone 7.

Just figured out how to add smart invert to the control center. First add accessibility shortcuts to control center. Then general, accessibility, accessibility shortcuts. Add what you want there. 3D press the accessibility shortcut in control center and it will be there.

Second that, took 1 day for mine to settle down too. Other than the graphical glitches (which are frankly quite fun to find), everything else is cool.

Did you reset your settings?

is it just me or are others not seeing dock icon names??

Apple probably got sick of all the 'removing icon labels' tricks and decided to just remove Dock labels :)

That, or design choice. I really like it, it differentiates the dock from the rest of the Home Screen.

Tap on your PiP while on a FaceTime call to switch cameras.

Can someone provide a little more detail about the control centre please?

I've only seen a couple of screenshots but it looks absolutely hideous in my opinion. What customisation options are there to change how it looks overall?

I cleared everything from the app switcher and app launching is now instantaneous. Before this I had tried rebooting etc. This was the only thing that worked for me.
Nice! I just did that, and it worked for me, too!

iMessage sync isn't working for me, but not sure if that's a bug or just not enabled on iCloud.

Also, I found that when you are moving apps, when you move one into a folder and exit the folder, you can no longer move apps around.

I pushed the home button to make them stop shaking, went into the folder again and exited, and all the apps were shaking again. So there's those two bugs too.

Man I love getting the betas! So fun! haha.

I forgot to mention that I'm on an iPhone 7 Plus.

You can change the bottom 4 toggles, and add from a huge array of options. That's all the customisation you can do. It slides up and down, just like always. No idea why the background is dark though.

There isn't any possibility to open WhatsApp (or anything else) through an notification directly from the lock screen right? Or am I just to silly? iPhone 7.

Just installed iOS11 on my iPhone 6S. I like change, so it's looking good so far. I'm sure some things will annoy me as I start using the phone in earnest but all my e-banking and messaging apps work well so far. Happy.

5S on ios 11 beta 1

can access the new app store.

however having a bug where i can’t download any apps.

tested with paid apps, free apps, and redownloading previously purchased apps.

the circle animation just keeps spinning when i click buy/get. every few minutes a popup asks for my password but does nothing.

killing the appstore app and reopening reverts the button to buy/get.

tried soft & hard resets but doesn’t fix.

also tried downloading apps on my ipad mini (ios 9) and it works so no issue with the account!

anyone else experiencing this?

edit: adding that i did also try signing in and out of the account as well.

edit 2: noticed that a couple of the previously purchased apps that i tried re-downloading ended up appearing on my home screen. so it would seem the issue is with new apps (free or paid).

edit 3: FIXED by toggling settings (touch ID and auto-downloads... not sure which actually did it).
