So in Control Center, wasn't the speaker and brightness icon orange before? Now its grey.

I'm running previous beta and they're grey for me, so I don't think that's new.

Looks like Apple expanded the music player again. Now displays the speaker source as well as the album title. I think in previous betas it only showed the artist name and song title.

I still think the old style music player was better, I preferred the larger album artwork.

Anybody else experiencing trouble updating apps. Just updated about 6 apps and all of them updated except Instagram. Tried a restart, but still doesn't update.

Hmm, maybe it was an earlier beta and I just didn't notice. Control Center seems bland now. I feel like it needs a little color.

Same here. Stuck with instagram and Uber. Restart worked.

Closing apps has a slight delay could this be because of a beta or is this new design?
Probably not by design. iPad mini 4 was a little slow and laggy initially but several hours later and its zipping along nicely now. Suspect its indexing, uploading/syncing pics, iCloud stuff, etc. Once all that is finalized it seems to settle in and work much better. But yes beta software does have other code in there (logging as example) that slows things down and iOS code is never optimized until later in the process.

For those of you asking about performance, its really not realistic to do so 2 hours after the beta dropped. Sure, it sounds like things are better for some (at least anecdotally), but tomorrow is really the earliest we can expect good data on this.

The thread wouldn't be so lively if all of us grew some sense like that. ;)

Don't erase your phone. When you come back in, none of the default apps which can be deleted -- return. Calendar, Watch, Notes, etc. They all fail to download.
I deleted the Reminders app by mistake and now I’m having the same issue. It’s pretty annoying.

So 40mins + mi 7+ has been warm in the first 30 mins it was super hot to the touch, with b4 it was cool the after like 2 mins of first start.

Try turning off wifi and download those apps over cellular. it worked for me when the same thing happened on B4

From the release notes:

Control Center
New Features
• Tapping the Wi-Fi button in Control Center now disconnects from the current network and temporarily disables Wi-Fi networking. (32299242)
• The Bluetooth button behavior in Control Center now mirrors that of the Wi-Fi control. (32300000)

That should make a lot of people happy.

Edit: Apparently was there already in Beta 4.

That is a HUGE step back! Can't believe I'm back to the annoying behavior or turning Airplane Mode on and having my AirPods disconnected... Unbelievable.
