Is everyone else still having voicemail issues? I know in beta 3 it was pretty wide spread but I haven’t really heard anyone else talk about it... I’m still having issues with mine and I’ve tried everything in the book to try to get it to work

Album art not showing on the music widgets with third party apps such as Pandora, Slacker, etc.

Album art only shows while using Apple Music.

Anyone else having an issue where touch id occasionally unlocks the device but it stays on the lock screen? Periodically when using touch id to unlock it will change from the lock icon to unlocked but stays on the lock screen instead of opening to the home screen. I then have to raise the finger and rest it back on the touch id sensor to open.
I've experienced that too, I sent in a bug report earlier today. Usually happens to me after raise to wake.

Found a bug maybe. Try to disalbe wifi in control center, press the power button to lock your device, than open again the control center from lock screen. Wifi is activated by itself.
Does anyone have that too?
iPhone 7

I'll disconnect via the control center (wifi will be "grey") and I'll go about my business and a few minutes later I'll notice it is blue again and connected. VERY annoying that it won't simply turn wifi off by this button. I hope there is something I'm missing in terms of settings to make this always just turn off wifi - not just disconnect from the existing AP.

I’m stuck on “Preparing Update” for the last 2-3 hours. What’s the trick to get over this?

Me too. I've tried the following with no luck.

1) Restarted the phone
2) Deleted the Beta update
3) Restart the phone after deleting the update. Check Phone Storage to ensure it is gone.
4 ) Downloaded again.

I've deleted the update and decided to skip this one for now.

This has been that way for a while now. It definitely predates beta 4. I'm surprised Apple haven't yet fixed it.

Had this happen for the past few betas. My album artwork doesn’t even show up on music widget when playing music that I bought from iTunes and have downloaded to my phone.

Just tested again and it looks like Spotify does work, but not the others.

Thanks for the info. One question, how do you delete the Bets update?

Damn, the new unlock animation in beta 6 makes the usage slower now, I was loving the faster animation in beta 5

See video at 0:48

Seriously? This animation thing is an issue?

Can’t always satisfy everyone I suppose

It is when Youtube views (being a "professional Youtuber," makes me cringe even saying such nonsense) buy you an Audi R8; pandering at its best.

I haven’t had issues with voicemail in any Beta on Verizon.

Of course, if an animation gets in the way of user interaction it’s a bad thing.

This saga/fight with animations and responsiveness has been going on for a long time, you can see discussions here:

https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...responsiveness-due-to-input-blocking.1942001/

That was some years and OS versions ago. Im just not seeing it; by the time the unlock animation completes I can instantly press an app icon and swipe.

Watch the video above in .25 slow motion setting, other than the putz not unlocking the phone correctly the first time, the second time it is the same speed in slow mo. Embellishing for view count.

The longer animation was likely put back in to cover any delay that was there.

Still to many issues for me as daily driver so going back to 10.3.3. Will come back for GM.
Such as? Been running on iPad mini and installed on iP6s today and so far solid and no issues.

Does anyone else get a weird unlock animation where the lock screen slides up and then comes back down a bit before disappearing whilst the home screen appears? iPhone 6s.
Not here but its so fast I may not see it. However maybe its your wallpaper. Perhaps try a solid or non dynamic wallpaper and see if it still behaves like this. Sometimes those dynamic wallpapers create weird issues as you describe.

Performace of B6 is terrible on my 6S. Sometimes up to a 5 second delay from tapping an App icon to the App starting. Email downloading much slower compared to B5, and also delays between a touch and the phone responding.
Not here, perhaps something wrong with your hardware or a reset settings is in order. My iP6s is super fast on this beta and just installed today on that device. Been running fine on iPad mini4 since beta 4.

Hello guys, i have a stupid question, who can install iOS 11 beta 6 clean ? With iTunes , i dont have a Developer account , thanks :)
Anyone. Get the ipsw file and install from iTunes using shift/restore and browsing to the file.

Sounds like the home button setting where you can select whether to press home button to unlock or just rest finger. If its set to press the button then this behavior is normal and a finger rest simply unlocks the device but remains on lock screen unlocked.

This could be as designed. They changed the way the BT and WIFI buttons in control panel work. To totally turn off either you have to do so from settings not control panel:
Control Center
New Features
• Tapping the Wi-Fi button in Control Center now disconnects from the current network and
temporarily disables Wi-Fi networking. (32299242)
Resolved Issues
• The expanded Wi-Fi UI in Control Center now updates the network name when
transitioning between networks. (32280116)
• The Bluetooth button behavior in Control Center now mirrors that of the Wi-Fi control.
(32300000)

Does anyone know where Auto Brightness on off has gone?
Page one of this thread or pretty much every page since. OR settings>general> accessibility>display accomodations :)

Yeah I recall as I’ve been on since beta 1 - I still hate the feature acting this way. I find myself going to settings way too often to completely turn off WiFi now. I do hope this isn’t the way it is going to stay.

This will affect people differently, some people got used to the slow iOS animations and don't care, but others like me value as much responsiveness and snapiness as possible, hence my disappointment that Apple is backtracking and going back to the slower animation.

The fraction of time you mention that sounds negligible, to me it's not, because it means that if I try to tap an app while the animation is in progress, the tap won't respond. So right there you have a fault in the design, ie the phone does not register the tap and is slowing me down requiring the user to tap 1 or 2 times more until the phone finally responds.

That's just plain clunky, inelegant. All of this because Apple likes to show off animations. It's just inexcusable coming from the company that's the king of detail, the company that spent 1+ year making up their minds on what type of doorknobs to use at the new Apple campus.
