Apparently that s how ios 11 works now, no more apps like facebook and instagram taking gigs of memory, their cache is always empty.
The problem with this is, the moment I quit an app with an intention to return to it soon it starts afresh only b’coz cache cleaning keeps on quitting them.
This gets frustrating at some point.

I just noticed a setting under settings>general>iphone storage>offload unused apps. Is that on?
Yes, that is on, but here’s a thing, it also offloads by Content Blocker app which obviously I don’t open quite often, and suddenly I start seeing ads in Safari b’coz the app is no longer present on device. This is problematic.

Did a quick look at the wiki post for this ... 650 messages is a lot to wade through...

Anyone else unable to share photos from the Photos app share sheet via Messages? The Messages button is there and sure looks pretty, but for me, it's totally non-functional. To share photos via Messages, I have to do it from the Messages app... other share options (mail, AirDrop, etc) appear to work correctly.

UPDATE: A hard reboot solved this issue for me.

Apps like facebook and instagram do that in ios 10 too. On the other hand, 9gag saves your last scroll even if you kill the app from the multitasking tray.

Do you also think that beta 6 is the worst beta?

So unbelievable much bugs. I would say beta 6 is twice as worse as all ios 11 betas together.

I admire Apple’s intention to keep devices storage junk free, but if it comes at the cost of usability than it’s a flaw.
I don’t want Twitter app to start anew every time I put it in background and return to it a few seconds later moving me away from the last tweet I was viewing. Makes you feel like you’re on a 512 MB RAM device.
That completely destroys users’ workflow.

Anyone else having issues with Handoff? It was working fine with iOS10 on my late 2013 MBP, but not since upgrading to iOS11.

Care to name a few? It's not perfect, but I have no problems that prevent me from running it on my daily driver. IMO "twice as worse as all iOS 11 betas together" is quite a high water mark... frankly, I am not seeing anything close to this.

I am having problems as well. It detects handoff but it fails to load anything.

After a hard reboot of my phone, Handoff did start showing up on the Mac, but you're right, it didn't load any portion of what I'd started on the iPhone.

I’m still having Logitech slim pro device disconnects - have had to get used to using the onscreen keyboard again...

I haven’t seen this get nearly as much praise but my favourite iOS 11 feature by far is being able to immediately interact with an app when opening it. For example; when opening Safari I can immediately scroll with no waiting. Same thing when exiting an app or unlocking your device, you can swipe on the home screen with zero waiting unlike in iOS 10 and prior. Also, when double clicking the home button to bring up multitasking, you can immediately double click to exit rather than having that short delay. No longer having to wait for animations to finish to interact makes the whole OS flow better and is something I’ve been wanting since iOS 7.

Oh wow! Didn't know they implemented this back.. I can't remember what it was called but it started around iOS 7...
Can you start scrolling when clicking a back button in safari? Currently, you basically have to wait for the page to be rendered before you can start scrolling again

But unfortunetly you can no longer 4 finger swipe quickly between apps. There is a delay after switching apps before you can swipe back or continue swiping to another app. It is frustrating because it didn’t do this in iOS 10 and prior. iPad Pro 9.7”

Bluetooth volume is very low on this beta.

Are you having the problem with all Bluetooth connections, or just phone calls?
[doublepost=1503148529][/doublepost]
Apologies if this was already reported in previous betas or the current one but is anyone else having Bluetooth playback issues? Connecting to my Sony XB40 (speaker) works but when playing music it tends to cut out randomly and quite often. The only fix so far is to disconnect/forget and re-pair again.

Yes.

When paired to a 2014 KC2 Legend with Krell Audio, playback does not work well, usually very muted.

When attempting to use the Bluetooth connection for a voice call, I cannot hear the person on the other end although they can hear me.

You have different usage and standby times like I used to get previously. Currently this is what I get.
Indicates there is some rogue process/app running all the time. You should check and see what app is running. Could be something in iCloud settings (safari sync, photo sync, etc) or email acct hung up causing it. Its not an iOS 11 inherent issue though.

How so? Seems you may have a faulty device or installation. Seems most folks are in total disagreement with this statement indicating this is simply false.

This is working fine on my iPP 9.7

Updated my iPhone 7 Plus today. Didnt use it as i was doing laundry. All of the sudden i felt my pocket getting warm and noticed the iPhone Homescreen usage was through the roof. Went down to 89% without doing anything.

Lets see what a reboot and another full charge brings to the table

Can anyone comment on whether these late stage iOS 11 betas are showing better battery life on an iPhone SE than the massacre that is iOS 10?

True, not an inherent bug, because to the best of my knowledge this was working in last beta or last to last, so got confused and came to the best place to ask fellow like-minded gentry!

Turns out, I just completely restored it. For some time, it seemed like the issue was not resolved. However, after some hours, it has. On a fresh install, with no software. Now I wil slowly add my software back to find out the specific miscreant.

As of now, going by statistics in the past beta, it is WhatsApp and Hike Messenger. Both have background refresh disabled, both are gone from app switcher, yet both manage to sustain background activity. I didn't even open Hike. I opened WhatsApp 3 days ago. That got me suspicious. :)

So far, things look better. Joys of a beta, eh!!! Love this every single time ... going with the flow ... new beta, some fixes some regressions ... another beta, new fixes something else regressed ... :p It's great to see the interconnections betwixt seemingly disconnected lines of code..

Spot on. I was wondering when would the voice of truth be out.

Is any one got problem with emoji keyboard that sometimes or quite often when txt in FB, iMessage or any other app. Is overly the box where we txt and you can’t see how many emoji you put or what you txt, like in the photo, when you comeback to normal keyboard then txt box is visible again. It’s quiet annoying at times.

I really dislike the blur on the top part of the control center (and everywhere, really). Hope it gets removed from final release!
