I must be one of the only people in the world but I absolutely love it! I think the design of it is simple, gorgeous, and functionally it's far better than the iOS 10 version.

The two pages was just stupid and sliding brightness/volume would always move it to the next pane, the up and down toggles is for more intuitive. Integrating 3D Touch into it a lot more is great too!

My only wish is for us to be able to 3D Touch on the Wifi icon and have it open the settings, but we can't have everything I guess.

To those that hate it, have you used it?

I admit it was jarring at first. But after a few days with the beta, I actually like how it looks and hands down appreciate the function over CC in iOS 10.

While it could definitely look better, I actually like how it looks and very much like how it functions.

Let's be real....if a UI/UX designer in another company comes up with a control centre UI (or something similar to a control centre) as in this new iOS 11 a.k.a cluster**** of toggles in one screen he/she can pack his bags and look for another job.
But ofcourse, not at Apple HQ.
All this hate on a DP1. We have seen many times in the past that Apple tunes things over the beta process. Judging the by a first DP is just showing you do not understand a testing process!

show me one previous beta (in any iOS) were they dramatically changed something between 2 betas. They never did. Its all small refinements.
Nope, the current control centre in iOS 11 is here to stay

I don't see taste or innovation here. Definitely, Apple should just pay to this guy some money for the AWESOME concept and adapt this into iOS 11. This is really disappointed.

Well a concept and implementations are 2 different things. Any one can create a beautiful looking concept but to put it into practice a whole different ball game. Easy to be an armchair quarterback when you are not the one to implement it :)

I actually really like the new design, particularly on the ipad where its to the side next to your spaces. I like that it doesn't need scrolling to get to controls etc, and you can add things to it in prefs (which is probably a step toward letting devs put 3rd party stuff there)

OSX 10.13, however, was the disappointment. I do not even realise I have changed over, which is not a bad thing, but there is not one single feature on it (except the file system in the background, which also to me seems exactly the same speed on the 15" tbMBP, with some programs behaving erratically but expected. (of course, this belongs in the other thread, but thought might as well add a few lines :))
OSX to me is the suite of apps too.. The OS itself is mature to the extent I dunno what I want them to change, but Photos and Garageband and everything else have changed quite a lot (and Safari is snappier?) - Also the ipad/icloud/Mac file integration is lovely now, its a refinement that just makes everything smoother across multiple devices.

LOL, first you hate the "old, old", then you have the "old", and then you hate the "new".

Whatever Apple does, you hate everything, so hate it all you want...

The design is awful but at least it's customisable.

Design is bad indeed and takes up so much screen space. It's partly customisable. I also don't like it that you can select third party apps or third party quick actions to be there. I will currently stick to my third party Launcher/Magic Launcher widget in the Notification Center although were asked to remove it a few months ago but luckely the existing URL schemes for Settings still work (or at least in iOS10 with these third party widgets).

Indeed I would rather see also the option to adjust the size of the CC quick actions and to be them all pretty much the same size or at least give us the customisation what we would like to see in CC right away (e.g. wifi name, bluetooth device name, current music track).
Also what I don't get is why you can't see instantly your current wifi name or bluetooth device(s). I also wonder what happens if you click on it if it switches to WIFI Settings and the different WIFI/Bluetooth connections that are available. I don't own 3D Touch devices so I want to see things instantly.

That iOS X concept is too busy looking. Rather the new Apple one over the 2-paged view currently. But that's me.

Definitely the 2-pages view is indeed goed that that will be gone. But putting thing on one page could look so much better (and smaller) and give users actual customization for all quick control center Settings and (third party) apps and URL schemes to certain features in an app.

Adjusting the brightness or enabling Bluetooth, WiFi, etc on my iPad should be a simple slide up gesture.
Not it's a two-step process, and the app you are working on minimizes.

Also, switching between app may seem OK, but try to close the app; no more quick slide up to close. Now it's a long-press, wait for the X to appear on the upper-left corner, then tap on the X to close the app. What a waste of time!

Bluetooth/wifi/brightness/volume are still slide up and press or slide. As for “minimizes”? What?

Are you aware we are discussing iOS 11 Control Center?
It's not just one Slide Up away, you have to slide twice sometimes.
And if you had an app opened, it gets reduced to a preview, so you could switch to another app.

Yes

No you don't

So you tap the preview

I don't get why showing the WIFI connection name is an additional step (3D Touch press, or long press)? I just read someone else that also non-3D Touch devices can long press and still see e.g. the WIFI name and switch between WIFI connections (I suppose).

The purpose of this forum is to express personal opinions, not bother users here with your stupid comments.
I can live with the way the Command Center works now; that doesn't mean I like it.
If you are not going to say anything useful, go somewhere else, and comeback when you learn to show respect to others.

Anyway, you are past your bedtime... and stop sucking your thumb.

Haven't read this whole thread, but just wanted to add my two cents.

I've been on the beta since day 1 and I love the new control center. It is so much more functional than the 3 page design. I am a homekit user so that 3rd page was always a pain to get to. now everything is just a 3d press away.

After using it for a few days now, I must say I'm kinda growing to like it. My only annoyance is that screen mirroring can't be removed. I don't know how widely used this feature is, but it's something I have never used and never plan to use either. I would much prefer to have something like low battery mode in place of it and not have an additional row with just one or two items.

The one thing I don't like is that it's no longer an overlay, but instead it now takes over the whole display, reducing the current app to a small square for app switching.
Why is this a problem? Imagine you are watching a movie and want to increase the brightness of the display. Your movie will be interrupted in the process. Some video apps don't deal well with interruptions and will not resume playing a video without a delay.
And Swipe up doesn't always work or has a slight delay, at least on the iPad Air. I'm sure later betas will show an improvement on this.
