Has there been times in the past where there has been a public release with GM?
Technically, there are not GMs for X.x releases; there is a final build (coded appropriately) that is the release candidate and usually ends up being the version that is released to the public. However, with (A) Apple's new found attention to bugs and (B) the unusual nature of this event and possible features that did not show up in the betas we've seen so far, anything is possible, from public release tomorrow or even another beta.

When they show us a new iPad for school, 11.3 could be released when the device is released. I would say this is happening in 1-2 seeks.

With a new macOS beta, the chance of a final public release this week are slim to none. I can positively say that we have never gotten a public release when one of the three other softwares have received a beta that week for the build that is set to be release.

Yeah we’re getting something tomorrow I believe now
Yeah a beta/GM, not public.

That and macOS beta 7 dropped yesterday. Makes me think iOS 11.3 beta 7 will drop today.

Agreed. MacOS will probably see public release on same day as iOS and the other software updates. With beta 7 out yesterday, it would seem odd if it was released to public today. Therefore 11.3 public coming out today seems unlikely.

Maybe, but I wouldn’t trust a thing The Sun “reports.”

Ditto, but there have been a lot of online articles from non-tech sources about how 11.3 is coming this week. Makes me think someone ran the story and everyone else piled on without much independent verification. Personally I think we'll see it a few days before the availability of the new low-cost iPad (if it is revealed today).

Apple has their Chicago keynote event today as well and the Apple store website seems to be down as well right now (for what reason?)

They really need to release iOS 11.3 today what’s the point of dragging this whole beta process further it’s not like the current version of iOS is very stable anyways

That Sun article that claims iOS 11.3 is coming out today seems credible. Why would they make the article if they weren’t sure it was coming out? That would make them look extremely unprofessional
