iOS 12.1 Beta 1― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Is the problem still present on iPhone X/ XS that if you close an app, swipe upwards on the dock to go to the first home screen and than try to open an app from the dock, it takes several taps on the app icon to open it?

I thought iOS 12 should fix this kind of situations where animations aren’t finished but you can go on and tap on other things.

I don’t want to be that “works for me” guy but I cannot relate to the experience you’re both having. My XS Max runs iOS 12.0 even more smoothly than the 7 Plus it replaces (which was already very smooth) so I feel like there’s something wrong with your install. I’d seriously consider DFU and clean install without restoring a backup. I know that’s very inconvenient but I feel like it would get you to where you want to be, having a smooth experience. If you’ve done that already, I’m sorry, I don’t know why the same device would differ so much.

It’s stuttering, sometimes it’s lagging .. and yeah it’s the last flagship of apple ...

I did a reset, clean install, set up as new, and it still stutters after 10 seconds of inactivity (scrolling a webpage, closing an app, etc). Tomorrow is my last day to return and I’ll probably take it back. Been using my X and it’s perfectly smooth.

You can turn that off in Touch ID & Passcode settings
