I've just rebooted my XS Max and tested it, to compare with yours here:-
This is 12.1 beta 5
Compute is 21159 now and was 21629 on 24th Sep'
I ran it again and got 21281
CPU multicore just now is 11354 (my highest ever was 11420)
CPU has been 11364 (20th Oct); 11142 (23rd Oct); 10953 (26th Oct)
I still feel it depends on what the phone is doing at the time you run the benchmark. All phones will return different results. Benchmarking just leads to frustration and annoyance imho!

I always close down all my background apps and let the phone sit for a couple minutes to make sure it wasn’t too warm and run the tests. I always got fairly consistent results and NEVER under 10k multi core. So this was disappointing to see

Anybody ran Geekbench in this beta? My multi core dropped by almost 1000

10,500 to 9,600

You’ll need to run conservative test at least 3x to get a better idea.

EE are the only UK carrier with eSim support for the iPhone Xs line.

https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT209096

At this moment in time. Who says that won’t be updated on Tuesday or when 12.1 drops. Don’t ever assume that things can’t change.

Vodafone have also confirmed in their forums eSIM will be coming very soon and that they are actively testing it with Apple, they have also added it to their support site. Along with supporting the Apple Watch as well.

Hardware is still gonna give different results even though they're the same phones. It's not like I am benchmarking mine as a 'new' phone with no apps on it.
I've never had results like yours Banglazed on any version of iOS on the XS Max.

In the header in an iMessage conversation theres now an arrow to open up options and info:

But when you tap it, shouldn’t the arrow point down to indicate it’s open? I’m thinking this is a bug, but not sure if it has been this way since 12.0.

The arrow changes for me in iOS 12.0.1, although most of my conversations are with contacts, in case it might be a bit different for just plain numbers.

Interesting; it works on my iPad but not on phone. Tried hard reset and still nothing. Probably will be fixed with final release. Thanks for trying it out.

I have suddenly started getting random app crashes and the device freezing. Happening on my XS Max, IPP 10.5 and the Wife’s X.

Only started since last night.

For some reason even though I've updated to 12.1, in settings I'm still seeing the red 1 circle even though there are no updates.

I've checked to see if the symbol relates to something else within settings but there is nothing else.

I've shut down and restarted but it is still there.

Any ideas what this could be for?

Seems to be happening to a few folks the past few months. I would just wait for the next update and that should clear it.

Mine works fine, the arrow points down when I press it, I’m in beta 5 iPhone XS.

Adam.

Not currently running betas (but I like to keep abreast of them), however I noticed a marked increase in battery life after turning screen time off. iOS 12.0.1 on XS Max.

Also, a lot of the existing issues in the OP’s post are reproducible to me, noticeably the swiping down from Notification Center after locking/unlocking and opening an app (no background), and the strange multitasking bug where you swipe an app away but quickly tap on it. Caused springboard to crash on me once while doing it, other times it just acted weird. Probably best they held off for their supposed home screen redesign until they iron out all of these stupid quirks...
