Man I update my iMac and my iPhone beta to beta daily drivers never an issue ! So IDK

I thought this font-size-changing thing was a bug by whatsapp. I reported it a couple if days to whatsapp and they replied with „how to change the font size in chats“ thing

It’s not in chats though it’s part of the UI and the bug can be replicated on many different apps so looks likely to be IOS

also, did anyone elses Verizon visual voicemail stop working? voicemail tab now only shows blank screen with "call voicemail" box in middle.
Same here. It’s really frustrating.

Things I’ve tried:

- turning airplane mode on, wait 20 seconds, then off

- calling my voicemail, entering my voicemail password, listening to some voicemail messages

- resetting network settings

- in settings > phone, select “change voicemail password”, which allows me to enter and then re-enter my new password, but it hangs on “saving password....”

I haven’t tried calling Verizon support, I will probably have to do that.

If you find a solution, please post it here. I’ll do the same. Good luck to us both.

I have read that sometimes Siri may affect VMM. Is it set to either English (US/Canada)?

It is possible it may be a software glitch as well. Put your device into recovery mode, shift/option to select beta 5 firmware to "Update" to using iTunes.

Got this resolved! You have to call tech support, not customer service. They have to REMOVE the VVM feature, turn your phone off, and then have them ADD it again, turn your phone back on. The first couple times I contacted them, they only kept "refreshing" the feature, not removing it and adding it again. I wish they could have figured that out before I reset my network settings, but at least it is working now.

Yes, thanks. The siri issue affects the transcription of voicemails, I believe. If you turn "press home button/side button for siri" off and then back on, it apparently refreshes the transcription process.

The problem is solved.

I chatted with VZ tech support. Suggested they remove VMM and add it back. They said that was on their list of things to try. During the chat, I noticed Banglazed's suggestion about Siri. I turned it off and on. Then I checked VMM and it was working perfectly. I went back to the chat and told the agent that it was working, she said she removed VMM then added it back. Apparently she did this about the same time I turned Siri off then back on, so I don't know which of these two actions solved the problem.

But it's working! Thanks to you both!

I have noticed that even with my ringer switch on silent, phone calls will audibly ring when they come in. Restarted and still have the issue. Reported, but anyone else see this?

edit: nevermind. I figured out it was due to enabling "emergency bypass" on the contact that calls. Interesting.

Turning off screen time seems to have had a positive impact on my iPhone XS dropped frames/stuttering.

iOSBry

mee too
CPU 11.650 -> 11.000 and
Compute 24.641 -> 20.658 :confused:

Great, and Apple start the path to slows down iPhone again over numerous iOS release........

Anyway I have heard from Carrier that Applee will be releasing 12.1 on 27th with eSim / Dual Sim enabled.

Anybody ran Geekbench in this beta? My multi core dropped by almost 1000

10,500 to 9,600

I've just rebooted my XS Max and tested it, to compare with yours here:-
This is 12.1 beta 5
Compute is 21159 now and was 21629 on 24th Sep'
I ran it again and got 21281
CPU multicore just now is 11354 (my highest ever was 11420)
CPU has been 11364 (20th Oct); 11142 (23rd Oct); 10953 (26th Oct)
I still feel it depends on what the phone is doing at the time you run the benchmark. All phones will return different results. Benchmarking just leads to frustration and annoyance imho!
