Bug when sending an iMessage with an effect:
5A2D3619-4E38-4479-93E3-169C6011BCAA.png

Installed the beta since i've seen a lot of good things about battery life on it and 12.1.4 made my battery life on iPhone X trash and i have to say that this beta, at least for me, didn't make it better.. It's still as bad as it was on 12.1.4, maybe a little bit better but not much. Battery on 12.1.3 was definitely better.
Also some other things:
- is the volume from speakers and headphones lower? i feel like they made it lower on every level you choose
- i'm having problems with not receiving notifications from several apps
- still have this weird bug that some random app icon is showing on the upper left corner
- lock on the lock screen disappears and notifications are cut in half - i have this at least once a day

The good thing is that it feels SO smooth and fast, almost like the first three iOS 12.0 betas. Could be placebo but FaceID also feels faster.

Battery it’s very good with this version but performance it’s so worse with Xs max , it’s stuttering everywhere , if I’m rising brightness more then 40% it’s lagging and stuttering everywhere .. I’m waiting for apple to optimise my Xs max .. any ideas to optimise Xs max .. ??

I have reported this to apple a few times the last months but they didn’t care. I have reported a lot like this a lot of times the last years but they never care. Feedback App is like a joke app for me.

I had some issues earlier in the year where I constantly had to unplug the Hue bridge (even though I believe it was a HomeKit issue, not a bridge issue) and then that stopped with some version of iOS. No issues with the last two betas until the current one and I’m getting no response quite often again.

Thanks. I think so too as my other home devices can control them just fine during the time it goes down on HomeKit.

I avoid HomeKit whenever I can. If for whatever reason Alexa refuses to follow my commands, I'll go into the Hue app to control them. When I was trying to consolidate everything into HomeKit, I saw this all the time. HomeKit can't even manage to stay connected to my Apple gear (HomePods, Apple TVs).

I feel like Apple developers don’t use HomeKit at all unless they need to add a feature lol. It’s so darn unreliable at the moment.

I was beginning to think my WiFi network was to be blame or my old Apple TV. It’s been like this for years.

Every time it happens. I just say hey google turn off my lights.

I am not on the current beta, so I'm not sure how relevant my response is, but I see this all the time. I usually have to toggle airplane mode on/off and then it usually resolves the issue.

I did have a few times when it would happen so frequently that I would have to either restart my HUE hub OR actually go into the HUE settings and change the band they were on. Which usually resolved the issue.
Yea that works for me. Or just reconnecting my WiFi via toggling of the WiFi switch in control center.

What’s even more weird is the fact one light would show the correct status while the other is not responding. Meanwhile my Google home can talk to it just fine.

Have you guys reported it as a bug? If not. I think we all should.

Do you have a local Apple Store? I was able to get mine swapped out no problem by setting an appointment under the "connectivity issues" category.

I have had my iPhone X replaced with a brand new one 3 separate times and I am still having the same issue. The only way I can guarantee that I always have a signal is to turn off LTE and only use 3G all of the time. This is the most frustrating thing I have ever experienced since owning my first iPhone in 2007!!!

Battery life as well as performance have been excellent on my XS Max. Much better than 12.1.4.

And this is the problem with beta testing. Two completely opposite experiences on the same software. Just goes to show that device and installed applications can make a world of difference.

Haha true. And most of us is like wtf. “Why can’t they see it or experience what I’m experiencing? We all on the same software.” Lol.

Anyways. I have a slight random heat issue during usage. Another weird thing lol.

Wifi and Cellular still awful for me on a XS Max on EE (UK). Wifi seems to be worse with drop out and not connecting again, trying to load instagram videos on Wifi takes ages and they stop half way through. trying to do a speedtest takes ages to connect to a server, it's very hit and miss, sometimes its ok other times dreadful. Have tries multiple network resets and phone reboots. Wish I stuck with my 8+.

Yep. It’s a hardware issue.

Since installing beta 3 on my SE (Not in service/no sim) messages haven't updated. They have on an 8 that is in standby (again no sim). Anybody else?

The quote from iOS 12.1 beta 3 thread:
In Messages: using 3D Touch to Peak and Pop, or when rotating the screen orientation turns the iMessage app strip black (iPhone 7 only)

Apparently not just iPhone 7. Granted it's not exactly the same pattern but I see similar glitch on iPhone SE with 12.1.4 starting with 11.4.1 that it came pre-installed with. The input field randomly gets squeezed in the landscape mode as shown in the screenshot. Additionally (and randomly too) the transition from portray to landscape will result in the graphical disorder (video). I wonder if that gets fixed in 12.2.

I'm now getting as lot of Bluetooth issues on this beta. Playing podcasts over Bluetooth to my car is causing random fast forwarding and skipping. My Apple Watch running v5.1.3 randomly disconnects. Only stated acting up on this beta.

Hopefully they fix it in the next update as my bug is marked as duplicate.
