Hi Guys, I had already posted this announcement into the IOS 12.2 Beta 4 but the problem still persist on IOS 12.2 with Google GSuite account and IOS 12.2. Unable to add my G Suite account under IOS 12.2 and many users are complaint about. Maybe you can add this into the Remaining Issue until Apple or Google solve this problem. Idem under macOS Mojave 10.14.4

I just found that at long last iMessages can be deleted from  Watch at the same time as devices.
I don’t know if it came with iOS 12.2 or WatchOS 5.2 or both working together but it works ! YAY.

Bad battery life for me also, I'm losing 5-10% even when my iPad is asleep.

Battery life is much worse than iOS 12.1

I suppose we're still getting a 12.2.X.... ios 12.3 is still months ahead i guess and battery life is terrible.

Face ID is broken for authorizing app purchase in the App Store.
The App Store requires a password or even shows a pop-up that Face ID is not available, try again later. However, Face ID works perfectly fine for Pay, unlocking the iPhone and authentication in 3rd party apps like bank apps, messengers, etc.
Basic troubleshooting steps didn't resolve an issue.
Restoring my iPhone to factory settings and then restoring from iCloud also didn't resolve an issue.
Even restoring again and setting up as new doesn't help.

Created a report with Apple Advisor. Waiting for the fix.

I haven't checked that earlier, but this option is available since watchOS 5 for sure.

I am experiencing the same issue! Contacted Apple support creating a report as well.

Same issue here. Trying to re-enable Face ID for App/iTune store purchases pops up a message of "Unable to Setup. There was a problem setting up biometric authentication on this device. Try again later."

@sergekills we cross paths from the Apple forums!

I'm having the same issue. I thought I was going crazy.
Updated the Wiki with this bug.

These battery life reports.... is there a bigger drain on iPads too? Or just iPhones? I’m definitely noticing a drain on my iPhone X. 63 minutes of screen on time and I’m at 79%. Usually it is at least 90.

This is with Low Power Mode turned ON. Turned it on at 100%.

There is one bug when you are playing music. On the widget on the homescreen, if you pause the music and you turn up the volume, it brings up the annoying volume HUD instead of lowering the volume bar of the same widget.

Has battery life gotten better. We have 2 - 6S. Both went low battery much earlier than normal.

Nope, I even reinstalled through iTunes and restored from backup in hopes it might help but the drain is still horrible. The performance is definitely increased though, speed and smoothness is just so much better.

Cellular connectivity is improved on my iPhone XS Max. I have data connectivity at locations where it used to fail earlier

I’ve noticed the same. I was at a doctor’s office where I would always have to try and get on an xfinity WiFi hotspot in order to use my phone. Today I didn’t have any issue. It wasn’t fast but it was usable. Before it was nonexistent.

Looks like the FaceID bug in the App Store was fixed on the server side. Mine activated without the error message and is now working for App Store purchases now.

hi everyone!i compared my iphone xs max and my new ipad mini wifi speed.i noticed that on 2.4ghz the speed is almost identical but on 5ghz the mini is way faster almost tripple the speed.maybe its because the mini wifi antenna is better on 5ghz?on the side note i was far away from the router.

I am using iPhone X (iPhone 10,6) OS: iOS 12.2 CPU: Apple A11 Bionic @ 2.39 GHz Mem: 2.76 GB SDD: 256 GB

After updating to iOS 12.2 I noticed that when I use apps that use WiFi it switches to my Cellphone Data Plan. My iPad 3 has no problems using my home WiFi. When I close the app, the WiFi icon comes on.

I wish Apple would make it possible to "Roll Back" to the last version of iOS that works until the fix is made.

i think its because of weak antenna.its doing the same thing on mine but worst in 12.2

I noticed that my settings app had 39 mins of background activity. Maybe this is what led to my battery life not being that great? Anyone have any thoughts or theories as to why settings would have high background activity time?

On the flip side, I definitely notice an increase in performance, speed, and overall smoothness...it’s like I have a different phone (and the SE wasn’t slow to begin with). If, for whatever reason the SE doesn’t get iOS 13 I’d be perfectly fine staying on 12 if it continues to perform like this (which I can only assume it would get better with more updates while still on 12).

I suspect Apple increase internal clock in 12.x - which made overall system speedier and faster (even compared to 10.x) with the cost of shorten battery usage. They are preparing foundation necessary for new functionalities (ie News+ in 12.2). In my opinion, this is fair enough, but somehow Apple needs to mention this in release note so everyone will know consequences of upgrading.
