iOS 12.3 Beta 5 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I put my phone into silent mode this morning for an early meeting. Upon leaving, I switched sound back on. I received a few emails and texts over the course of 30 minutes and never heard an audible notification. Had to restart my XS to make the notification sound work properly.

I will give it a couple of days to report with confidence, but I appreciate the fact that is version is feeling faster than previous versions. I am happy with the speed now.
 
IPP G2 12.9 using an ASK - B5 via OTA

Bugs from prior betas:
  • Incorrect spelling errors on contractions where the letters before the apostrophe do not spell a word by themselves
  • On closing some video apps via the home button, the video will close but the audio will continue to play for several seconds
  • Default email app will most times display 2x the actual number of unread emails until manually refreshed
Still there ...
Safari does feel / appear smoother than B4
 
Performance wise this beta is good.

But the other issues still remain. I feel Apple is starting to suck again with bugs clean up.

Also WiFi still drops with medium signal strength.

For the porn issue, it doesn’t happen with regular video sites like YouTube. This isn’t something I see Apple trying to fix for a while. I think the porn sites have a bandwidth limiter, especially for those with ad blockers.

Battery life is great for me with light use, 30 minutes of music playback and about an hour on a phone call, 80% remaining. iPhone XS

See, for me that would be a lighter drain.
I generally only charge my Max every 1.5 to 2 days. Phone use, photos, browsing/shopping and 8 hours nightly music use.
 
And here I thought iOS 12 was all about ironing out glitches and bugs

Everyone who’s having issues with porn videos on their iPhones, try disabling any content blockers and test again.

Yikes, forgot to paste the whole paragraph describing the issue.

Seems to be connected with the orientation lock. From what I observe, when locking the screen, while viewing content in portrait mode triggers this (orientation lock off). Though I‘m not 100% sure.
 
Definitely experiencing some Wi-Fi issues with this beta. Been on a resort since Sunday and didn’t have any problems with using the Wi-Fi to make calls are browse the net. Now It completly disconnects at times.. cant even watch a 2 minute video on YouTube without it completely dropping the food connection and reconnecting.

This is the issue I had in beta 5. I'm on a XS Max Verizon. It's better with this beta but not fully resolved.
 
I’m having issues with the video freezing on the knitting channel.

(Ok let’s drop this whole thing unless we want the mods to lock the thread).
