Settings app freeze is happening less frequently on beta 4 but still happens. I’m hoping beta 5 comes with improvement.

So now my WiFi went *poof*. I tried signing in again. Said incorrect password (it’s not). Reset network settings, tried again. Incorrect password (it’s not). Other things in the house are connected fine.

Not happy!

You can try this https://qifi.org so it will generate a QR code. You can scan it using the camera app and it may be able to automatically connect to your network.

Anyway, as far as my iPhone 8 Plus and iPad Mini 5 go, both battery life and general stability have been nothing short of wonderful on this beta.

So I have had this issue with my iPhone when it just wouldnt accept any password no matter what your password is. I have to either restart or at times forget the network.

Since you have already tried resettinng network settings, it should do the job. Its surprising how its still not working.

You could try changing the password on the router and see. Only downside is that you will have to change in all the devices once again.

I haven't had this issue in the last few betas (after adding all stock apps back) but it's happening now and it's seriously one of the most frustrating bugs I've experienced in my years of beta testing.

So weird! My girlfriend comes home. I tell her about WiFi on my phone. She pulls out her phone and she has same issue! She’s not running beta. Two MacBook Pros, an Apple TV and a HomePod were all still connected. It was just the iphones.

Reset the gateway/router again. Still no success for 20 more minutes, then out of the blue, both iPhones reconnected to the network.

Weird!!!

If you search Google for this, there are many, many articles indicating that re-indexing occurs. Here’s one from BGR about iOS 11. Reference is part way down

https://bgr.com/2017/09/19/ios-11-features-iphone-how-to-speed-up/amp/

Thanks for the link but I view BGR as one step below this site for meaty, objective articles. I searched google for actual support documentation but they all point to “it’s indexing so just give it some time”. There has to be some developer source that explains this process.

I am sure something like this happens because Windows Mobile and Android did / used to do the same thing to some degree but at least that was documented in their official support channels. There has to be something more official than anonymous internet peeps saying it is just that way.

small one. Looks like 12.3 is about done. I went from 12.2 to 12.3 beta 5 on my XS Max and it just feels a lot smoother for the first time since the phones release. I don't notice any stutter etc.
