Anyone else having freezing issues? I keep having my phone lockup and not do anything for a few seconds. Not sure if it’s the update, or just my iPhone.

No issues here.

Yeah that’s what I figured. I think my iPhone X is having issues. It happened a couple of months after I bought it, but then it went away. It just started it again. It will just lockup for a good 20 seconds and do nothing.

Bring it into Apple.

I did a chat just a minute ago, and they ran diagnostics. Said there were no hardware issues. At this point not sure if it’s a bad software bug or not. I am just going to wait for the full release of iOS 12 and see if it fixes the issue.

I just noticed over the last few days my battery is in the gutter. I unplugged from the charger today at 1:30PM with 100%. Barely used the phone at work, and its not down to like 35% at 7PM just from sitting in my pocket. checked the battery stats, and it says there are only 2 things using the battery during the last few hours of decline, and its been 50-70% siri. ive only used siri during this time to dictate about 3 messages through my watch (not through the phone)....nothing else. guess ill try a hard reboot to see if it fixes it.

Siri likely got stuck. Happens time to time. Even on non-betas.

I’m having a really annoying time with my ringtones/alert tones on the latest beta. iOS isn’t playing my selected tones. I’ve tried several restarts. I bought them from the iTunes Store and ones I made in garage band, none of them work. Text tones for the Message app are all “Note”. I even have some contacts with custom alert tones but those don’t work either.

I can’t even change the tones to other ones bundled in iOS, ALWAYS NOTE. lol

Any others having this problem? Any suggestions besides restoring my phone as new?
Maybe try a 'reset all settings'. Better option than a restore as new and tends to resolve odd issues. Also doesn't delete apps or data (other than saved wifi connections, fingerprints and ApplePay cards)

Reset also defaults all notification settings and ring tones. I hate doing a 'reset all settings' but it's less tedious than erase as new.

Well yeah, it resets all settings back to defaults. But no data gets lost was my point other than the few items mentioned. And I agree still better than starting over new if it solves things.

Hit my goal for my monthly challenge in the Activity app last night and no reward. The badge is still empty but it shows “6 of 6 achieved” below.

Maybe I’ll get it when I update to GM tomorrow.

That did it! It sucks having to change all of my settings back, but DEFINITELY better than having to do a restore. I forgot about that option. Thank you!

So I was sitting in a meeting at work and had silenced my watch like I always do and my phone started ringing. Great.

At least my watch didn't ring with it.

I also had it with iOS 11 once, I guess its just iOS.

When I reset my settings, the phone gets stuck after entering my passcode. Progress bar disappears and device is stuck in apple boot logo. Only a hard reset helps. But I doubt the settings reset is done properly.

Edit: turned passcode off. Still happening.
