Siri doesn’t seem to be working for me in beta 2. On iPhone X.

Edit: Nevermind. Seems to be functioning now.

Seems about the same as beta 1 on a 7+ to me, which is to say solid 60fps smooth everywhere. Any input blocking I've ever noticed seems gone. I don't know if I've just never noticed this before but apps keep scrolling even when you suspend them. Tried this in Safari and Outlook: -

- Start scrolling a long view
- Quickly hit home to go to springboard
- Hit same app icon to restart
- App is still scrolling, with the position changed and momentum having slowed appropriately for the amount of time

Thanks now I lost my place on these forums lol but it’s true !

Is the animated timer icon in control centre when you have a timer set, new?
I believe so yes

Am I the only one who kind of likes it better how it was in beta 1? I do like being able to see app usage by segment of the day but I also liked the line graph showing when the phone was charging vs. discharging better than the new bar graph. Maybe it will continue to evolve...
Not a fan of any of it, preferred it in iOS 11 but I wish battery life was better then I wouldn’t care how the graphs look as I wouldn’t need to look at them but my iPhone 7 Plus is less than 50 percent after a normal days use WITH LOW POWER MODE ON ALL DAY ! !

For smart invert, anyone noticed when you're in an app and swipe to go to home screen, the app icon will be highlighted and other icons blurred?

With Ford Sync when attached by CarPlay and going into reverse gear (camera kicks in), you get kicked out of carplay.

On Sync3 version 2.2, you can go back in, but music requires some fiddling to get back to the playlist you were on.

On Sync3 version 3, you get kicked out of CarPlay altogether.

Other than that I had the GPS working fine on my iPhone X within maps on CarPlay.

Edit: Feedback has been added to Apple.

Smart invert colors are more buggy on this beta. There is now a graphical glitch on the app switcher, music player is still bright and videos on the file app are still inverted when this mode is activated.

I want to keep the first beta on my ipad pro but I'm wondering if or when this beta will expire? So far I have a more enjoyable experience on the first beta.
They had ages to do beta 1 but only 2 weeks to do beta 2 I guess

Happy that I am waiting this out. I feel like I'll enjoy just going from 11.4 to the final once all the kinks are worked out. Sounds like iOS 12 is pretty great though, even without many features.

Has anyone else been experiencing issues w/ their devices soft restarting or maybe re-springing randomly?

Screen goes black and then the spinning white wheel goes for a bit before loading the lock screen.

Seems to be related to notifications I think.

Had it a couple of times on Beta 1 but so far none on Beta 2

I’ve had it twice. It is “respringing” to springboard. Only in beta 2. Seems to trigger when going to,Notification Center.

Since iOS 5, I've been quick to jump onto the beta train but this year I feel fine with waiting it out. It'll make release day more exciting

Interesting. I only have a phone but some of my reminder lists have a "Show Completed" option (the ones with empty lists) and some didn't. I "completed" an item and now the option ha appeared (and shows all the items I have completed). I "uncompleted" that item and the option is still there.
On iPad Air 2 I don’t have any items in the reminders app so it shows the show completed button

However if you have a list it doesn’t show !

Yeah, so try ... "complete" one of your items. The "show completed" option will then appear, and hence you can un-complete the item you just clicked complete on. The option to show all completed items should remain. It's a workaround until the bug gets fixed.
