iOS 12 Beta 4 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I have an apple watch, and am on pb2 and it seems my contact names are now syncing back to my watch without pb3 being out yet, so maybe it was more of an icloud issue than actually ios beta one.

I read through the rest of the thread and saw that this part of your post wasn't addressed. It has to be an App Store side issue because I experienced the same thing when I downgraded from Beta 3 to 11.4B3. Since I wasn't able to restore my backup (and the archived backup I had saved was from June) I had to get all of my apps back one by one. All of the paid apps were showing a price rather than the "Get" button or the cloud icon. I figured "what the hell, it's only a couple of bucks" on an app that I use on a daily basis and when I double-clicked to purchase it, it told me this update was free because I owned a previous version. Same thing happened with every subsequent paid app I downloaded.
 
In my opinion, they should reconsider the UI for grouped notifications, they just don't look good stacked together.

My AirPods disconnects after hour and a half of playing music, then they will connect only manually, and disconnects after 30 seconds to a minute. I had forget the device and re pair and still the same, I had hard restarted the iPhone (7 plus) and still does not connect automatically, they just make the connection sound. After all that they still disconnects after a minute playing music.
 
Running great on my 8+. Feels faster than previous beta. Haven’t come across any major bugs yet.

Battery seems to be going down slightly quicker though

So far not seeing any issue with AirPods - 8+.

Seems to be running fine on my 7. Smooth, but I do notice the slower charging battery but not an issue for me. Wondering if that is a bug or a feature? Overall I like the latest update.

Thanks for the info, so were you ever able to get the normal functionality back from the App Store?
 
Maybe noted in other betas but I have the lock screen bug where the time doesn’t display after pulling down Notification Center. It came back randomly though.
 
I now can use the AirPods, at least it has been 5 minutes and have 0 disconnections. opining the case, putting the ear buds in there and pressing the back button for 3-5 seconds, then forget on the iPhone and the re pair.
 
Finally we might have a proper dark mode, I m quite impressed by how "smart invert works". But there are small bugs like: square corners in the photos app, instagram videos are inverted, emojis are still inverted when in the text field, minor animation glitches with the spotlight and the keyboard in some instances takes some time to process the change.
And the most important part, an option to let us choose what app to use smart invert and not cause safari is a mess with it. And the CC toggle needs some tweaking.

Smart invert was introduced and available since iOS 11, no?

You can have the accessibility popup to pick Classic Invert or Smart Invert on Triple-click, both useful in different situations.
 
Following changes I see:
  • In Message app, new activity stickers
  • In Message app, picture mark up effects for Shapes with new animation
  • New options for Memoji
  • App Store search result can also show "in Developers" for developers
  • in Cellular settings, Cellular Data usages listed app by highest usage to lowest.
  • Toggle switches is a bit bolder
  • Ejecting SIM card will automatically lock the device prompting passcode
  • Active USB Accessories lock port immediately when device is locked
  • Photo edit mark up tools show bolder drawing for thickness
  • Wallet passes normally shows an (i) at the right bottom corner now shows (...)

Im having a huge bug when display is set to lowest sometimes my phone display goes completely off and phone still calls and only way to fix it is hard reset anyone else had this

To recap can someone else with beta 4 on x puy screen brightness to lowest and then press power button and see if your display turns off and only fix is to hard reset
