iOS 12 Beta 6 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

This "beta 6" is not the "beta 6" we knew before. Before we even receive any significant improvements, we could receive 10+ betas depending on how often Apple releases betas.
 
Anyone else getting issues when editing text? My main experience is writing or editing posts on MacRumors so I'll describe that as not sure how generalizable.

When typing a post and then trying to do some editing by tapping in the editor to, e.g. select some words, or move the caret so you can type elsewhere, or whatever, sometimes the keyboard will just close and can't be brought up again by taping in the editor. You can bring it back by going into the address bar and then cancelling out of that.

edit: I've actually had this for several betas

Has the battery reset bug been fixed? That's where you restart the iPad (don't own an iPhone) and your battery time counter is reset to dash marks.

Same happened to me, ended up doing it on my Mac and it worked fine, something up with Windows iTunes

Yeah. Xenforo boards are really problematic in this release, even more so than before (where using a hardware keyboard had various issues). When you get in that strange cursorless state I find hitting the save draft button works to temporarily fix things.

So, threatening to abandon a manufacturer because the newest features they offer don't work on your 5 year old device? Not sure if you are going to sway them much with this argument.

we might not get a update until beta 8 from rumors I have heard which is good hope the issues are fixed

Open Calendar.app, tap the "Calendars" button bottom middle, under my iCloud calendars there's a note that says "unable to connect to account". It no longer appears to be syncing calendar data. Apparently, Apple broke their own app with the latest iOS 12 beta.

It appears 3rd party calendar apps that have been updated still sync up/down to iCloud.

My iCloud calendars and reminders suddenly started syncing today out of the blue with no change by me (while still on public beta 5). I guess this was an issue on Apple's side.

Seriously Apple, how has the audio distortion bug causing crackling and popping when listening to music or podcasts in CarPlay not added to unresolved or new issues. We're at PB Beta 6 and Apple are yet to publicly acknowledge this bug affecting Audi, Hyundai, Subaru and more since iOS 11.3. Hundreds of people submitting bug reports and cases with Apple Care with this issue and it's continually ignored. Too hard basket?

Been running the last few Betas. Yesterday when trying to call someone the phone crashed and came up with a message on a grey background. Can’t remember what it said but never had that before.
