Curious... why do a lot of people post the update size for their device? What benefit does that provide?

The OTA is a delta update. It only contains the changes from the build you're on. The bigger the download, the more changes it contains and the more significant the build.

This is a pretty significant build.

how did you do it? i tried on Monday and could not continue downloading on LTE

I started the download on WiFi and had to leave the house so when I switched to cellular it just kept going.

Yup! The only difference is it fixes the app launch issue in the last beta

191.9mb iPhone 7 plus, previous beta (7) was great for my 7+, super fast and smooth, and great battery.

I will let other people be the guinea pig. Lol! Beta 6 works great and glad I didn’t update to 7.

Also not showing up OTA.

I was the guinea pig for beta 7, but frankly, somehow, on my iPhone 8 it worked flawlessly and was a slight cut above the beta 6 in terms of fluidity. Let's see what this beta 8 brings!
